The News on the Israel Street

Palestinian terror in the last 24 hours . . .

Palestinian terrorists continue to run amok in Judea and Samaria with “rock” and Molotov attacks on Israeli men, women, and children at Har Bracha, on the Trans-Judea Road between the Olive Junction and Halhul Bridge, Mt.Hevron, between Hizma and Anatot, at Beit Hagai on Mt Hevron, Tekoa, Hevron, Kish Gush Etzion near Al Aruv, Karmei Tzur, on the Gush Etzion-Hevron highway, on Road 55 at Azzun, at Beit El, and Negohot among other places.

Crowd funding for Amiram Ben Oliel and his family . . .

As you know, Amiram was found guilty and sentenced by an Israeli kangaroo court three days ago for a crime he demonstrably did not do.

A crowdfunding site was set up yesterday which has already raised 1.3 million shekels for his family.

If you would like to contribute, here is a link.

UNRWA tells the truth, for once . . .

Once again, UNRWA was out in Gaza yesterday distributing “aid” to the poor, indigent, infantile Palestinians.

But according to Matthias Shamali, an UNRWA official: “During the distribution, we discovered that much of the aid that we were supposed to deliver was going to Palestinians who had either left Gaza long ago or had died.”

Apparently, many of the 5,000,000+ so-called “Palestinian refugees” that UNRWA has on its rolls remain “refugees” in the afterlife.

Unfortunately, this will be forever remembered as the high holy day period that was marked by the strongest lockdown in the history of Israel.

Here is some Corona information from the morning.

The daily Corona (Covid-19) update as of 8 am:

There are 175,256 confirmed casesan increase of 4,791 since this time yesterday

126,329 of these confirmed cases have recoveredan increase of 3,110

573 are in critical conditionan increase of 24

149 of the most critically ill are on ventilators—an increase of 9

1,169 have diedan increase of 4

There are 48,927 active cases.

You will note during the next few days that the number of confirmed cases and deaths will drop. This is because the Rosh Hashana holiday has halted much of the testing as well as the reporting from hospitals.

Corona blockades go up around the country:

The following is a map of police checkpoints that will block people from entering and exiting cities:

Look very closely. Each orange circle represents a police barrier.

In total, 38 checkpoints are being setup. For example, our city of Ashdod only has 2 roads coming into the city (absurd for a city of 250,000 people). Police will be stopping all traffic beginning late this afternoon.

Corona lunacy:

**You remember, dear reader, that we gave you a list of exemptions to the lockdown yesterday. Two of those exempted from the 500 meter rule were cantors and shofar blowers.

As soon as those exemptions were published, six thousand (6,000) people applied for cantor and shofar blower permits from the Ministry of Religious Affairs.

**Moreover, restaurants have been told that they cannot do “takeaway” food anymore, but that they can do “delivery”.  So what are creative Israeli business owners doing to circumvent the rule?

They have started a new service called “Shamak“. Customers come to a restaurant, stand 7 meters away from the door, shout out their order to a restaurant order taker at the door, and then after the food is made it is “delivered” to the customer.

Again, despite the virus, we wish everyone a very happy holiday! The lockdown and lunacy surrounding it will not lessen our love of our family and friends!
