The News On The Israeli Street

Palestinian terror in the last 24 hours . . .

*Corporal Sagi Ben-David was found dead this afternoon following a daylong manhunt by the IDF and Israel police. His body was found near the Hizma Checkpoint, a location which is often attacked by Palestinian terrorists. Police have still not released the cause of death, and are “investigating the circumstances of the incident.”

Using the term “incident” naturally raises suspicions that this was what the police call a “nationalist murder” (aka murder perpetrated by Palestinian terrorists).

*Palestinian terrorists set fire to grazing land near the Hoshava Junction. Agricultural terrorism is widespread in Judea and Samaria.

*Self-identified Palestinians from Zarzir stole 12 tons of olives from Alon HaGalil. They were captured by Border Police at the Alomim Junction.

TODAY’S BLOG:

A Plague of Wild Boars

If Israel doesn’t have enough problems, it is beginning to be overrun with wild boars. In previous blogs we have shown boars roaming the streets of Haifa and the grounds of Ben Gurion Airport.

Last night, a train from Haifa to Tel Aviv apparently hit a large group of boars and derailed. No was was physically injured,

Today, Israel Railways announced that the track the train was on must now be repaired causing rail service from Tel Aviv to Haifa to be cut in half. This route is one of the busiest routes in Israel.

The boars have become major pests, rooting up farmer’s fields, and destroying native vegetation in addition to posing a threat to humans.
