It’s Deja Vu All Over Again With Iran

With apologies to Yogi Berra, it is deja vu all over again when it comes to Iran and the new/old Biden Administration. 

Now that Biden has returned virtually every major American official involved in the fraudulent Iranian negotiations six years ago to their positions again, it is hardly surprising that the doubletalk spewing forth from Tehran has resumed.

With a friend in the White House, the Iranian government once again feels free to make Orwellian comments such as this one from FM Javad Zarif yesterday:

“We are not violating the terms of the nuclear agreement; we are merely reducing our commitments.”

What utter horse manure, but it is just the sort of horse manure that the Biden Administration will scoop up to “prove” that the ayatollahs are in reality peaceful leaders who only want to develop nuclear power for peaceful purposes.

Insofar as Israel is concerned, we had a bizarre meeting yesterday between PM Netanyahu and a bevy of security and treasury officials ostensibly in order to prepare to arrange the transfer of huge sums of money from various departments to the IDF to fund an “operation” against Iran.

Say what?

After a decade of Netanyahu warning the world about the danger of Iranian nuclear weapons and ballistic missiles and four years of having a supportive American president in the White House and not mounting an attack on Iran, does anyone seriously believe that Israel would now even remotely consider taking on Iran alone?

Or was that meeting yesterday merely to shore up Netanyahu’s faltering image as “Mr. Security” for the coming election? After all, Netanyahu cannot do anything to stop missile fire from Gaza at residents of southern Israel—does anyone really believe that Israel has the capability to knock out Iranian targets in hardened bunkers deep underground?

And again, to knock out those targets with no help from Joe Biden?

It is deja vu all over again.
