You might be surprised to learn that striped hyenas have taken up residence in the forests around Jerusalem. Click on this link to see some remarkable footage of a female hyena taking a deer she has killed to her family.

The News on the Israeli Street

Around the neighborhood . . .

Jordan:

Just a few weeks after Israel granted Jordan the concession of taking double the amount of water that we were already giving them at an absurdly cheap price from our national lake, the Kineret (Sea of Galilee), Jordanian officials requested this morning that Israel further increase the amount of water.

If we let them, the Jordanians will take and take and take; eventually the Kineret will simply begin to dry up again.

Syria:

Israeli planes struck targets around western Damascus yesterday in a rare daytime raid. The targets were new shipments of weapons that Iran was shipping to Hezbollah which were housed at the GNA base of the 94th Syrian Brigade.

Iran:

Iranian hackers calling themselves “Black Shadow” successfully breached files belonging to the Israeli companies Cyberserve and Kavim over the weekend. The successful attack on Cyberserve is particularly troubling because the company provides data storage for a wide variety of Israeli businesses which means that the Iranians have their hands on a treasure trove of personal data belonging to Israelis.

The price of gasoline . . .

As we noted on Friday, all prices are going up in the next few days.

This morning, the price of gasoline rose to 6.62 shekels per liter–or $7.98 per gallon.

That’s a 20% price hike in the last year.

The rain in Israel lies mainly on the plain . . .

Coastal plain that is . . . central and southern Israel  are currently experiencing rainfall–producing unusual photos like this one this morning of kids waiting for a school bus:

The more rain the better here.

The daily Corona update . . .

Because of the improving numbers, we will change the update to a weekly update after today.

Explosive Balloons Over and In Sderot, Again and Again

Two photographs made in the last two hours tell the story:

A cluster of balloons carrying deadly explosives over Sderot this morning.

Despite all of the idiotic “humanitarian gestures” that Israel is making to Hamas in their Palestinian state of Gaza including paying blackmail money to stop the attacks on southern Israel, even providing construction materials for Hamas to rebuild its above and underground infrastructure, and even increasing by tens of thousands the number of Palestinian workers and “traders” allowed into Israel from Gazadespite all of this, Hamas terrorists continue trying to kill Israeli children, men, and women on the Gaza border:

A miracle in Sderot. This explosive balloon landed across the street from an elementary school and did not explode.

A miracle in Sderot. This explosive balloon landed across the street from an elementary school this morning and did not explode.

Once again, it is worth remembering that the explosive balloon attacks originated out of desire of Hamas terrorists to kill Israeli children. Their strategy has been to make the balloons as colorful as possible to encourage children to pick them up and get blown to pieces.

Fortunately, that did not happen this morning.

But what did happen this morning?

Our Concession Government allowed ever more trucks into Gaza to resupply the terrorists.
