The Shocking Revelation of the Day

The Jerusalem Post now claims to have in its possession a letter written by President Trump in January 2020 in which he gave the green light for Israeli to annex Area C of Judea and Samaria.

The permission for annexation was conditioned on Israel agreeing to the establishment of a Palestinian state in Areas A and B.

Why is this shocking? For two main reasons:

First, no official of the Israeli Netanyahu government ever revealed this permission.

Second, the letter contradicts the version of events that Jared Kushner describes in his recent book. In that book, Kushner suggested that Netanyahu and then U.S. Ambassador to Israel Friedman devised the annexation plan behind Trump’s back. What the letter indicates is that it was Kushner and Netanyahu who “deep-sixed” annexation–not Trump.

All your humble servant can say is that Trump’s permission was one gigantic missed opportunity. Areas A and B are a de facto Palestinian state. To declare them so in return for declaring Israeli sovereignty over all of Area C was a no-brainer.

Instead, we got a Coalition government which to this day (see Today’s Blog below) is obsessively trying to turn Area C over to the PLO with the help and money of the Biden Administration and the European Union.

The News on the Israeli Street

The IAF attacks in Syria and stages mock raids over Lebanon . . .

Here in Ashdod, we always know when something is taking place in Gaza to the south or in Lebanon and Syria to the north and east. All last night, we could hear the roar of planes heading out from and coming back to IAF bases in this area.

It turns out that one wave of planes last night attacked an Iranian base near Abu Afsa south of the Syrian port city of Tartus and the suburbs of Damascus targeting new Iranian precision missile shipments being delivered to Hezbollah. Apparently 4 Iranian and Syrian military personnel were killed.

Afterwards, the mock raids took place over Naama, Halda and the southern suburbs of Beirut and over Sidon and Iqlim al-Harob. The purpose of the raids of course is to deter the ever more bellicose Hezbollah leader Nasrallah from launching an attack on Israel.

Palestinian terror in the last 24 hours . . .

Palestinian terrorists opened fire on an Israeli motorist near Shechem early this morning between Hatmar Shomron and Itamar. The Israeli was not wounded; a manhunt is underway for the terrorists.

Palestinian terrorists tried to kill Israelis with IEDs, Molotovs, and “rocks” on the Hosan Bypass between the El Khader and Beitar Junction, near Luban a-Sharqiya, Singil, Tekoa, and Al-Abuv among dozens of locations.

Palestinian terrorists opened fire on IDF forces in Araba southwest of Jenin.

Border Guards captured 19 terrorists in Beit Fajjar, Zubova, Dora, and Aqab overnight. In Aqab, our forces were attacked by a knife-wielding terrorist as they entered his house looking for weapons. The terrorist was shot and killed. No Israelis were wounded.

Good news from Jerusalem . . .

Two of the wounded in the shooting attack two nights ago remained anesthetized and on ventilators, but doctors report that their conditions have stabilized.

We are particularly happy to note that the baby that was delivered prematurely is doing much better.

As if we didn’t know . . .

A confidential police report leaked to the Israeli media yesterday verifies what we already knew: in the past year, more than half (52%) of all Israeli traffic accidents resulting in death were caused by either Israeli-Arab or Palestinian drivers.

Why this report is “confidential” is anyone’s guess.

Eilat becomes a solar city . . .

Eilat authorities reported yesterday that all of the daily electricity for all of the city including the hotels is now being supplied by solar energy.

TODAY’S BLOG

A Zionist Call For Action At Ramat Magron This Morning

You may remember dear readers that it was four days ago when we posted photos of the destruction of the tiny Jewish community of Ramat Magron.

Believe it or not, following that wholesale destruction by IDF, police, and Israel Civil Administration forces, three of the families managed to rebuild their houses.

So what happened this morning?

Click here to see what happened at 4 am this morning in Ramat Magron.

What you cannot see in the video is that hundreds of “security forces” showed up at 4 am to destroy those three houses.

Hundreds of security forces for 3 small pre-fab houses and three small families.

Talk about an obsession.

Not only were the three families forcibly evicted at 4 am, the “security forces” grabbed and smashed their cellphones so that no pictures could be taken. The video you see was somehow recorded and transmitted before that phone was destroyed.

One of family members hit the nail on the head as the razing was taking place: “We are at the beginning of a wave of destruction in the communities. Benny Gantz is basing his election campaign on targeting Jewish community members in order to gain a few votes.”

Another community member said that the destruction is a clarion call for action:

“We do not intend to leave and raise our hands in surrender even for a moment from the Zionist enterprise for the resettlement of the land that we have been fighting for for years, and any attempt by a left-wing party to harass us is destined to ultimately fail and go down in the history books as another one of the oppressors who harassed the people of Israel throughout the generations.

We call on . . . all Zionist Jews from the people of Israel for whom the Land of Israel is dear: come join us in the campaign and give us your support at this time. This is not a war for our home, but for the future of the open areas in Judea and Samaria. Will they become flourishing communities or, God forbid, a Palestinian state?”

Your humble servant could not have said it better–and heartily supports all of my fellow Zionists in Judea and Samaria.
