The Friday Corona Update

876 Israelis tested positive yesterday (out of 8,437 tested).

The positive test rate was 10.38%; the coefficient of infection was 0.89%.

92 Israelis are seriously ill; 34 are critically ill—44 of these are on ventilators.

11,620 have died–31 since last Friday.

The summary: the positive test rate and coefficient of infection continue to rise incrementally; however, the good news is that the number of seriously and critically ill has dropped, as has the number of daily dead (between 3 and 4 per day on average).

Palestinian terror in the last 24 hours . . .

The dead terrorist who stabbed the soldier this morning.

A Palestinian terrorist stabbed a 19-year-old Israeli Givati soldier from the Saber Brigade at the Beit Anon intersection north of Kiryat Arba beside Hevron. The Israeli has been transported to a hospital in Jerusalem with multiple stab wounds to his torso. The terrorist was shot and killed by security forces. Palestinian terrorists using “rocks”, Molotovs, and IEDs attacked Israelis south of the Ziff Junction on Mt. Hevron, at the large Yitzhar Junction, near Avni Hefetz, on the Tunnels Road between Jerusalem and Gush Etzion, at Al-Khader, between the Rabbah Junction and Yakir Al-Hadala, south of Karmi Tzur, north of the Halhul Junction, and at a dozen other locations.
