The Quotes of the Day

(From Netanyahu and the Likud Party)

Quote 1:

“We are a democracy and we will decide who will be in the next government.”

Benjamin Netanyahu responding to American attempts to pressure him into not letting Itamar Ben Gvir be in a Netanyahu-led Coalition.

Isn’t it refreshing to hear this? No one in the current government has the cajones to stand up to the Biden Adminstration or other American politicians.

Quote 2:

“Lapid, who said he doesn’t understand anything about the economy, is to blame for soaring prices and rampant inflation. One year was enough for us. The choice is between a stable right-wing national government led by Netanyahu or a Lapid government with the Ra’am Party led by Mansour Abbas and the Muslim Brotherhood.”

Former PM Netanyahu’s Likud Party responding to Lapid accusations yesterday

Likud is right. That is indeed the choice.

The News on the Israeli Street

The war in Jerusalem, Judea, and Samaria: Palestinian terror in the last 24 hours . . .

The six members of the Lions' Den who were killed last night in Shechem (Nablus).

The six members of the Lions’ Den who were killed last night in Shechem (Nablus).

A major IDF operation in Shechem (Nablus) overnight targeted the so-called “Lions’ Den”, a group of terrorists responsible for numerous attacks on and murders of Israelis. In the ground and air assault on their headquarters in the central casbah, IDF soldiers killed 6 terrorists including the leader of the group. 14 more terrorists were wounded. The weapons laboratory of the terrorists was blown up.

Shooting attacks in Judea and Samaria:

Palestinian terrorists opened fire on the soldiers at the Jalama Checkpoint north of Jenin.

Palestinian terrorists opened fire on an IDF patrol in Nabi Saleh. One terrorist was killed.

Palestinian terrorists opened fire on the IDF outpost at Salem. One terrorist was shot.

Palestinian terrorists opened fire at the Romana Junction.

A Palestinian terrorist armed with an M16 was captured at the Gush Etzion Junction just before carrying out a shooting attack.

In Judea and Samaria.

“Rock”, Molotov, and IED attacks:

Palestinian terrorists badly damaged 3 buses on Road 55 near Pondok, and another bus near Kedumim, and still another bus on the Gush Etzion-Hevron Road near Beit Omer.

Palestinian terrorists tried to murder Israeli motorists on Road 450 near the Parsa Junction, between Rahalim and the Tapuach Junction, Bin Rabbah Likir, north of the T-Junction in Gush Etzion, near the Hala Checkpoint in the Jba Zurif area of Gush Etzion, on Road 60 near Luban a-Sharqiya, at the Yakir Haguda Junction near Hares, at the Pedual Junction, and on the Gush Etzion-Jerusalem Road near Al Khader, among other places.

Palestinian terrorists tried to burn down the security fence at New Gibeon, and at Migdal Oz.

From the neighborhood . . .

It is being reported this morning that the attack in Syria two nights ago targeted a convoy carrying Iranian military leaders to Damascus. In the same attack, two Syrian soldiers were killed including one senior officer.

During Gantz’s reign of terror in Judea and Samaria . . .

Just how vicious “Defense” Minister Benny Gantz’s campaign against Jews in Judea and Samaria has been during his 16 months in office was partially revealed yesterday:

*these 16 months marked the lowest number of approved new housing for Jewish communities in the last decade.

*5,535 illegal Palestinian buildings have been erected in Judea and Samaria.

As the head of Regavim declared in announcing the above:  “Not only is Gantz abandoning Judea and Samaria, he is working for the de facto establishment of the Palestinian state. Next week’s elections revolve around one question: will a Palestinian state be established.”

The Bennett home fiasco . . .

As you may remember, former PM Naftali Bennett had his home security in Ra’anana outrageously updated to the tune of about 50,000,000 million shekels during his 12 month term in office.

Now that he is out, the government has just spent another 1,000,000 shekels dismantling the security.

By the way, current transitional PM Lapid’s house is also having its security upgraded. The price of that upgrade is unknown.

The annual Rabin rally will be Rabin-less . . .

The 27th annual Rabin rally in Rabin Square in Tel Aviv on the anniversary of Yitzhak Rabin’s assassination will apparently be without Rabin family members for the first time this year.

Dalia Rabin, the daughter of Yitzhak Rabin had this to say yesterday: “We won’t come to the Rabin rally, it’s a rally of the Labor Party. None of the family will come.”

Another Outrageous Attempt To Throw Our Soldiers Under The Bus

Please begin by watching the following video of the interaction of one of our soldiers in Hevron on Sunday with a Palestinian:

Click here to see the video of the incident in Hevron.

So what did you see?

An IDF soldier on patrol in Hevron–one of the most dangerous places a soldier can be– grabbing a Palestinian and trying to force him to stand up. In the course of a 30 second interaction, he kicks the Palestinian until he finally gets him to stand up so that he can check him for weapons.

The Palestinian does not appear to be injured.

This morning, the General Prosecutor’s Office of the IDF announced that the soldier used “severe violence” against the Palestinian. It also “found” that another officer and soldier “who were present” did not act to prevent the “violence.”

As a result of these “findings”, all three of the soldiers have been suspended. The Office which has obviously already reached its conclusions will now forward its findings to the Military Prosecutor’s Office for court martials.

Unsurprisingly, IDF Chief of Staff Aviv Kochavi quickly acted to throw the soldiers under bus: “This is a serious incident that blatantly deviates from IDF values, the spirit of the IDF and the norms expected of IDF soldiers and their commanders.”

Can you believe any of this?

What kind of army does this to its soldiers?

A soldier in the heat of a possibly dangerous situation in which terrorists from the Lions’ Den could have been involved is going to be court-martialed for trying to get a resisting suspect to stand up so that he can be examined.

Once again, this event shows why soldiers at the Shuafat Checkpoint did not fire while being attacked by a Palestinian terrorist (Noa Lazar was killed), and soldiers at the Shavei Shomron Checkpoint did not fire when Ido Baruch was killed, and soldiers at the Beit El overlook did not fire until terrorists had already wounded a civilian sitting in his sukka.

The situation here in the IDF is beyond outrageous. We have a Military Prosecutor’s Office which is totally out of control and an IDF General Command and Chief of Staff that will not support our own soldiers.
