What Struck is referring is the utter failure of former “Defense” Minister Benny Gantz to deal with terrorism in Judea and Samaria during his tenure at the Defense Ministry.
Gantz’s idea of dealing with terror was to invite PLO Chairman Mahmoud Abbas to his home for coffee and cake. While Gantz danced with Abbas, the terror groups armed themselves to the teeth.

An axe-wielding terrorist was captured at a roadblock above the Jewish cemetery in Hevron.
Shooting attacks:
Two Palestinian terrorists opened fire at Turmus’aya. They were hit by a police contingent.
Palestinian terrorists opened fire on an IDF post at the entrance to Ofra. No Israelis were wounded; the terrorists escaped.
IED, “rock”, Molotov attacks:
A car that was hit by a “rock” thrown by a Palestinian terrorist from a passing vehicle on Road 465 yesterday.

Palestinian terrorists also attacked at Migdalim, on Road 458 near Duma, on Road 465 near Bir Zeit, on Road 55 beside Kedumim, Hizma, between Migdalim and the Alon Junction, at Hawara south of Shechem near Einbus Square, Ujah, near the Emanuel Junction, on Road 90 in the Jericho Bypass (Israeli wounded in the head), south of the Mazmoriya Checkpoint, south of Givat Assaf, between Givat Assaf and the Tripi Quarries among other locations.

The Rules of the Game Have Changed
The drone strike last night.
For the first time in more than a decade, Israel used its air power last night to eliminate a 5-man terrorist cell near the Jalama Crossing beside Jenin.
A missile fired by a drone blew up a car carrying the terrorists to a terror attack. This was the same terror squad that was responsible for previous shooting attacks elsewhere.
Coupled with the use of a combat helicopter two days ago in Jenin, the use of the drone indicates that the “rules of the game” have changed, and Israel will use more resources in its fight against terrorists.
It is way past time to be doing so.
A student from Malawi, who had worked with an Israeli health volunteer in his country battling AIDS, came up to us as we walked down the street in the UC-Davis Picnic Day Parade and wanted to carry the Israeli flag.
