10:05 am Wednesday: Two Palestinian terrorists in Azaria captured with automatic rifles and ammunition.

UPDATES

8:00 am Israel time, Wednesday, August 19 2015

**The daily Palestinian terror report:

We counted 24 Palestinian terror attacks yesterday. In the worst incidents which occurred just after 8:10 pm, 5 Israelis were wounded in “rock” attacks on cars and a bus in the A-Tur neighborhood of Jerusalem. They were transported by MADA to Hadassah Hospital on Mt. Scopus.

A half an hour later, a firefighter attempting to put out a fire started by a Molotov cocktail was wounded by “rocks” thrown at him near Tzur Yigal. Numerous other “rock” and Molotov cocktail attacks took place later in the evening on the Mt. of Olives, at Shuafat and Qalandiya, and in the East Talpiot neighborhood of Jerusalem.

Just after midnight, Palestinian terrorists in Gaza fired two rockets at southern Israel. There were no alarms. Hilariously, the IDF is still looking for the rockets.

How many of these Palestinian attacks were reported in the news where you live, and how many of these attacks were condemned by anyone?  You can answer those questions for yourself, dear reader.

**Since there is no other way to stop terrorists . . .

The Jerusalem Municipal School District has added an extra day of school for high school students living in eastern Jerusalem. The idea is that if they stay at school that terrorism will decrease.

What a joke.

**The comic farce continues . . .

The saga of Muhammad Alan, the Islamic Jihad hunger striker who has now entered the 66th day of that strike, became ever more comedic yesterday.

Of course, Alan has actually been eating and drinking during the last 66 days. Yesterday, he awakened from his supposed coma–just long enough to take some “medical essentials” necessary for him to survive.

And to threaten that if he is not released in the next 24 hours, he will really stop eating and drinking and die.

What a joke.

**New immigrants continue pouring into Israel . . .

29 couples with 75 children, 86 single individuals, and 9 other couples without children arrived in Israel yesterday from the United States and Canada sponsored by Nefesh B’Nefesh.

It was announced yesterday that the Tamar natural gas field generated 348,000,000 shekels (about $92 million dollars) for Israel during the first six months of this year.

The Tamar field is located 80 km west of Haifa and 1700 meters underwater.

**Just in the planning stages but . . .

It looks like Israel will begin following the example of Dubai. Plans have been revived for the construction of two artificial islands 1.5 km off the coast of Herzliya.

It is thought that the islands can create land for at least 40,000 new homes.

TODAY’S BLOG:

Your humble servant continues writing at every opportunity about the egregious behavior of Muslims and Israeli police on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem. I do this simply because I believe that the Mount is the heart and soul of Judaism–and, as such, it is the heart and soul of Israel.

Yesterday saw yet another outrageous incident on the Mount in which a 75-year-old woman who made aliya to Israel seven months ago was assaulted by the gang of masked Muslim women hired by the Islamic Wakf who regularly patrol the Mount looking for Jews.

That 75  year-old-woman, Brenda Rubin, described what happened (click here to watch the video):

“That was my first time on the Mount and it was a very important thing for me, and this woman in black came in between our line and gave me a big punch under my rib on my side that I’m still feeling. And I feel like we’ve come to Israel because it is our land, and we didn’t come here to be shivering Jews. And it was really painful just that somebody could feel that they could come, and using the name of their god, to go ahead and hurt us, and I really don’t understand it.”

Your humble servant doesn’t understand it either.

However, as bad as the assault was, the reaction of the police was worse. When Rubin complained, she was dismissively told to “file a complaint.” There was no attempt whatsoever by the police to identify the assailant and arrest her.

Let’s hope that Rubin indeed files a complaint–against the Jerusalem Police.
