**The daily Palestinian terror report from yesterday . . .
–>Sunday was a heavy day of “rock” throwing by Palestinian terrorists throughout eastern Jerusalem, Judea and Samaria. Israeli civilians and soldiers, cars, buses, and the Jerusalem Light rail were the targets of these attacks.
Here are a few of the “rock” attacks from yesterday, beginning in the morning and moving to the evening: at Gush Etzion (9:06 am), at Beit Sahour (9:10 am), at Mazmoriya (9:15 am), at Mt. Hebron (9:20 am), at Issawiya (9:52 am), at Hebron (11:03 am), at Har Homa (11:13 am), on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem (11:22 am), at Betar Illit (1:45 pm), at South Hebron Hills (1:49 pm), at Beit Sahour again (1:54 pm), in east Hebron (4:15 pm), at Tel Rumeida (6:56 pm), at Beit Anun (7:26 pm), at a bus on Route 443 near Beit Ur al-Tahta (7:27 pm), at the Jerusalem Light Rail Shuafat station (7:56 pm), at Talmonim (8:25 pm), and on and on and on.
How many were wounded in these attacks is anyone’s guess because it is impossible to fully gauge the trauma inflicted on Israeli men, women, and children. Suffice it to say that an IDF soldier had to be hospitalized following the Har Homa attack after being hit by a “rock”, and MADA reported treating people for shock after the attacks at Beitar Illit and Talmonim.
–>Perhaps the worst “rock” assault of the day is not even on the above list and occurred on the road between Tekoa and Har Homa around 9 am. A terrorist group of 15 masked men descended on a car being driven down the road by Sara Gamss; in the car were her children, including her 5 month-old baby, Batya.

Not only did the terrorists smash the front windshield (Batya was sitting in a reverse car seat in the front passenger seat), they also threw “rocks” in through the side windows of the car. Sara lost control of the car and hit a concrete barrier on the side of the road, but managed to regain control and continue driving to an IDF checkpoint.
Miraculously, no one was killed in the attack, but Batya was cut by flying glass.
Ironically, Sara Gamss was on her way to have the car retrofitted with bullet and rock-proof glass when the attack occurred.
–>Of course, Palestinian terrorism yesterday was not limited to “rocks”. There were Molotov cocktail attacks at such places as the Abu Tor neighborhood of Jerusalem, and Palestinian arsonists set fires in various places such as Givat Ronen in Samaria.
In the afternoon, residents of Pisgat Ze’ev chased down a terrorist who had been observed with an axe near the Pisgat Ze’ev shopping mall.
**Meanwhile, Meir Ettinger, who has been accused of no crime and has never been implicated in any violence . . .
. . . had his “administrative detention” extended yesterday until February by a Lod District Court–in what can only be described as an egregious miscarriage of justice. Ettinger, you will recall, was “administratively detained” followed the arson attack in Duma which has resulted in the deaths of three members of a Palestinian family.
No one has ever been charged with that crime, and as regular readers of this blog know, there is considerable evidence that points to an inter-Arab clan struggle in Duma as the source of the fire.
Ettinger’s lawyer correctly pointed out yesterday that the only reason that Ettinger remains in prison is to satisfy the left wing “public in Israel and globally.”
Your humble servant wonders why virtually no self-proclaimed “human rights” and “civil rights” group is rushing to Ettinger’s defense.

Yehuda Weinstein, the de facto Prime Minister of Israel.
A couple of days ago, your humble servant wrote the following about Israel’s de facto Prime Minister, Attorney General Yehuda Weinstein:
“One of the main reasons that violence is is spiraling out of control is Israel’s ultra-leftist Attorney General Yehuda Weinstein. It is amazing how Weinstein has been allowed over the course of the last few years to subsume powers into his office which no Israel Attorney General has ever had before.
It has gotten to the point that nothing can happen without Weinstein’s approval–no matter how small or how large. For example, it is Weinstein who will decide whether to prosecute Sarah Netanyahu because of recycled bottle money, and it is Weinstein who now seems to have the power to decide whether Gal Hirsch will be the new head of the Israeli police or not.
And it is Weinstein who is now running roughshod over Israel’s security forces–dictating everything from where they can be deployed to the type of weapons they can use. Unbelievably, Weinstein ruled yesterday that the only gun that can be used by the police against “rock” and Molotov cocktail throwers in Jerusalem (and only “selected rock throwers” at that) is the so-called ‘Ruger American rifle.’”

Yesterday, PM Weinstein was at it again.
First, of all he decreed that even though he had authorized Jerusalem Police and Border Guards to carry American Ruger rifles, he had not authorized them to actually fire them. Actually, nowhere does anything give Weinstein the power to either authorize the rifles or authorize their use.
Second, after announcing three days ago that he would not oppose Netanyahu’s proposed laws to increase penalties for “rock” and Molotov cocktail throwers and to establish fines for the parents of minors convicted of throwing “rocks” and Molotov cocktails, he opposed them.
As comedic as your humble servant is trying to make the “Prime Minister Weinstein” situation sound, it is no laughing matter. It is simply astonishing that an unelected official is now wielding such power in this country.
In reality, Weinstein is more like a dictator than a prime minister. What your humble servant cannot understand is why the political establishment cowers in the face of all of his “rulings”–rulings that are nothing more than opinions that have no weight other than what people choose to give them.
Fortunately, Weinstein’s term of office ends in January; the only question is how much damage he can do to the country before he exits.
