A Fascinating Development About the Iranian Nuclear Appeasement Agreement

A Special Request

Please pray for Ronen Ben-Elena. That is the name of our Duvdevan soldier who was critically wounded near Ramallah on Wednesday night (see yesterday’s blog). Ronen remains in a medically induced coma this morning and is given an extremely slim chance of survival. His family is hoping for a miracle. So are we all.

Quote of the Day

Just as we predicted (it wasn’t rocket science), demonstrations in support of various Palestinian terror organizations erupted today on the Temple Mountthe holiest site in Judaism. From the moment that the Netanyahu government absurdly permitted hundreds of thousands of Palestinians from Judea, Samaria, and Gaza to go to the Mount during Ramadan, it was obvious what would happen.

It was also obvious that such permission would embolden Palestinians to make statements like this one today from Mahmoud al-Habash, Mahmoud Abbas’ senior advisor:

“Jerusalem and the Temple Mount will belong to the Islamic nation until the end of days.”

Such is the fruit of political correctness.

The News on the Israeli Street

Palestinian terror in the last 24 hours . . .

Palestinian terrorists in Gaza have set large swaths of land on fire along the Gaza border near Kfar Etzion, Be’eri, and Kissufim. These fires are still burning at this hour.

Palestinian terrorists have attempted to kill Israelis with “rocks” and Molotovs along Road 458, at Beit Ummar, on the Gilad Road near Madma, at El Aruv, on the Gush Etzion-Hevron Road, and at the Karmei Tzur Junction among other places.

Another Palestinian fraud revealed . . .

This picture, pumped out by Palestinian propaganda machine, appeared on May 15.

This picture, pumped out by Palestinian propaganda machine, appeared on May 15.

You may remember how the last few weeks have been full of the “story” from the international media about how an 8-month-old infant in Gaza was killed by breathing Israeli tear gas during the border violence.

That baby, “Laila al-Ghandour”, became a symbol of the “vicious cruelty” of Israel.

So what did we find out this morning?

It was all a fraud.

The Gaza Ministry of Health has quietly removed Laila al-Ghandour from the list of the border casualties because it has been revealed that the baby suffered from severe medical problems from the time she was born. According to the Ministry, the baby’s death is now being “investigated.”

But Israel’s media enemies have made sure that the public relations damage has been done.

More Iranian missiles destroyed in Syria . . .

Yet another Israeli air strike has destroyed another missile repository–this time at Dab’a. These particular missiles were surface-to-air and were in the possession of Hezbollah.

An amazing picture from Yarmouk yesterday . . .

As you may know dear reader, Yarmouk is an approximately 1 square mile neighborhood of Damascus. At the start of the Syrian civil war, it was home to about 100,000 Palestinian-Syrians. UNRWA alone operated 20 elementary schools, eight junior high and high schools, and four hospitals there.

For years, the neighborhood had enjoyed the protection of the Assad regime, but when some Palestinian factions took up arms against Assad all that changed. Today, Yarmouk has been completely destroyed with less than 100 residents still there.

But guess what? All of the apartments were still full of the property of the previous residents. Yesterday, Assad’s army went on a looting expedition and took everything of value: furniture, electrical appliances, jewelry, rugs–anything they could find.

Apparently, Assad’s next step will be to raze the neighborhood completely. Suffice it to say that Syrian-Palestinian Yarmouk has come to an end.

TODAY’S BLOG:

A Fascinating Development

About the Iranian Nuclear Appeasement Agreement

To begin with, as you undoubtedly know by now, Iran has issued its own set of demands for staying in the agreement. They can be summarized simply as “we will continue doing everything we are now” and will stay in the Agreement “only if the Europeans pay us to do so.”

In fact, a senior Iranian official brashly declared this morning that the Europeans should pay Iran money to compensate it for losses accrued from the U.S. withdrawal from the Agreement.

Can you believe this? Of course you can.

And yesterday, there would have been no question that the morally bankrupt Europeans would have paid the Iranians anything they demanded.

However, there was another fascinating development today. In the wake of recalling its Ambassador to Germany several months ago, Saudi Arabia announced that it has frozen all contacts with German companies doing business in Saudi Arabia because Germany supports staying in the Agreement.

Lest you think this is a small move, there are currently more than 800 German companies in Saudi Arabia led by Siemens, Bayer, and Daimler. Daimler alone stands to lose a huge contract with Saudi Arabia for Mercedes buses.

So what do the Germans have to think about?

Total German exports to Saudi Arabia are valued at 6.6 billion Euros per year–while German exports to Iran are valued at only 3 billion Euros per year.

What do you think the Germans will do?

And what do you think will happen when the UAE and other Gulf countries follow Saudi Arabia’s lead?

And what do you think will happen when Saudi Arabia and others extend their refusal to do business with German companies to those of France, Italy, and all other European countries that are cozy with the Iranians?

I leave it to you, dear reader, to reach your own conclusion.
