BREAKING NEWS:

In an amazing intelligence coup, PM Netanyahu has just revealed that Mossad agents have raided the secret Iranian secret nuclear file archive in Tehran, and that Israel now has proof of Iranian nuclear development and duplicity on a grand scale.

Crazed Quote Of The Day:

“The Knesset session that will open on Monday will be marked by a world war to protect Israeli democracy. The coalition undermines the foundations of Israeli democracy and there is no room for compromise.”

Yitzhak (Bougie) Herzog, Knesset Leader of the leftist Labor Party speaking yesterday

A world war? This crazed remark from Herzog yesterday underscores how bitterly the “left” is determined fight to hang onto power in Israel via unelected institutions like the Supreme Court. The Coalition is not undermining the foundations of Israeli democracy; it is attempting to return government to the people.

In the case of the Supreme Court, the Coalition is fighting to give the people a voice in overturning leftist decisions–by empowering our democratically elected representatives in the Knesset with the ability to overcome Supreme Court decisions.

The News On The Israeli Street

Palestinian terrorism in the last 24 hours . . .

Palestinian terrorists attempted to blow up and burn down sections of the Gaza border fence during the day and night. In three separate attacks, Palestinians managed to breach the wall only to be shot once they did. Four terrorists were killed, and numerous other armed terrorists were captured.

Palestinian terrorists attacked Israeli men, women, and children throughout Judea, Samaria, and eastern Jerusalem.

Terrorists attacked Israeli motorists with “rocks” and Molotovs at Sinjil, Al Khader, on Route 60, Tel, all along Road 443, the Tunnels Road in Gush Etzion, Kochav Hashahar, the Giti Avisar Junction in Samaria, Givat Assaf, Ofra, Har Homa, and Tekoa among other places.

Terrorists attacked IDF and security forces in Jenin, Bethlehem (a soldier was wounded), Qalandiya (a policeman was wounded), and Hevron.

Can it really be true? . . .

The latest reports out of Washington are that President Trump will attend the opening of the U.S. Embassy in Jerusalem in two weeks–and will bring someone with him.

That someone is rumored to be Jonathan Pollard.

It is important to note that there is no confirmation of these rumors.

Two fascinatingly good decisions from Germany . . .

In case you missed it, the lower house of the German Parliament–the Bundestag–voted last week to honor modern Israel’s 70th Independence Day.

What was surprising was that the Bundestag recognized Israel as a “Jewish state”, and asked the executive part of the government in Berlin to fight against groups that do not recognize Israel as such.

All of which infuriated the Palestinians who have issued statement after statement denouncing the decision.

To which the Germans have not bothered to respond.

Secondly, German Transport Minister Andreas Schweier announced that he will not grant new airport landing rights to Kuwait Airlines as long as Kuwait refuses to allow Israelis to fly on some of its airplanes. The decision runs counter to a Frankfurt Court decision last year that allowed Kuwait Airlines to discriminate against Israelis.

Apparently, the Germans are willing to let Kuwait Airlines prohibit Israelis from flying to Kuwait–but not to the rest of the locations that Kuwait Airlines services.

Your humble servant has often written about how world airlines are not held accountable for discriminatory practices against Israelis, and is therefore encouraged by the German decision.

Iranian Missile Bases in Syria Attacked Again

An explosion of "heavy" missiles at Hama last night--missiles apparently to be used by Iran in an attack on Israel.

An explosion of “heavy” missiles at Hama last night–missiles apparently to be used by Iran in an attack on Israel.

Various reports, confirmed by video, show that several missile warehouses in Syria were bombed last night.

The attacks raise a number of questions:

Who was attacked: the Iranians or the Syrians?

Initial reports were that 25 were killed including 11 Iranians (or Iranian proxy fighters); however, those reports have since been refuted by the Iranians who say that no Iranians were killed. Nevertheless, given the responses mentioned below, it seems clear the targets were Iranian missiles regardless of who got killed.

What was destroyed?

The Syrian opposition reports that more than 200 advanced missiles were destroyed in the attacks–advanced missiles capable of carrying “heavy payloads” and striking anywhere in Israel. However, anything reported by the Iranian opposition should be taken with a grain of salt.

Where were the missile warehouses?

Again, initial reports reported in media like the Jerusalem Post suggest that the missiles were housed underground inside a mountain. However, pictures from the scene this morning show destroyed above-ground warehouses.

Who carried out the attacks?

Interestingly, the U.S. was first blamed by Iran in a message from Ayatollah Khamenei last night who said that continued U.S. interference in Syria will not be tolerated. Khamenei went on to claim that Syria is part of Iran’s “home territory.”  Today, Iran has begun to focus blame on Israel.

Whatever the case, in one hour, PM Netanyahu will be addressing the nation and world on the Iranian situation–but apparently not about the strikes in Syria last night.

His subject will be “new information” about the Democratic Party Iranian Nuclear Weapons Appeasement Agreement that was produced by Barack Obama and John Kerry.

We will report on that address as soon as it happens.
