The News on the Israeli Street

Palestinian terror in the last 24 hours . . .

*Huwara, Beit Ummar, throughout Gush Etzion, Karmei Tzur, Deir Nizam, Gush Talmonim, the Postal Junction, Road 456, Road 443, Road 446, the Ni’lin checkpoint, Ateret, El Aruv, Hevron, and Tekoa: these were 15 of the more than 30 locations where Palestinian terrorists attacked Israelis yesterday with “rocks” and Molotovs.

*A knife-wielding Palestinian terrorist was captured at the Cave of the Patriarchs in Hevron.

*Palestinian terrorists using Molotov kites and helium balloon incendiary devices set four fires during the day that burned more than 500 dunams of agricultural fields and even a home in a kibbutz in the Chof Ashkelon region.

Appalling, disgusting, nauseating . . .

A solitary Jewish resident of Nativ Ha’avot watches the police circus below as 2300 police officers march in to throw Jews out of their homes.

What words can you come up with, dear reader, to describe the absurdity that took place yesterday at Nativ Ha’avot (which is beside Hevron)?

2,300 Jewish police officers and border policemen showed up to throw 15 Jewish families out of their homes. This was at the order of the Israel High Court of Injustice which absurdly ruled that the homes were built on “private Palestinian land”–private Palestinian land according to the fraudulent Ottoman Land Registry.

Today the houses are slated for destruction.

From the sickening to the perversely hilarious . . .

Two items for your consideration today:

1.  The IDF announced today that it is reducing the supply of helium to Gaza. Wow…can you believe it? Palestinian terrorists have been launching helium-filled indendiary devices into Israel for almost a month–and only now the IDF got the bright idea of reducing the helium supply to the terrorists?

2.  The Shin Bet announced today that the stabbing of the young girl in Afula several days ago was terrorism. Wow…can you believe it? Why did it take three days to announce the obvious? What does a terrorist have to do these days to receive credit for his terrorism?

Some good news from Afula is that the 18-year-old stabbing victim’s condition has improved to “serious.”

TODAY’S BLOG:

$1=42,350.50 rials: The Model Iranian Terror Economy

Do you remember the pictures from Germany back in the days of the Weimar Republic when Germans had to load suitcases with money in order to buy a loaf of bread?

Of course, Germany is just one example from among numerous others such as North Korea and Venezuela where hyper-inflation devalued a country’s currency.

In case you haven’t looked lately, the conversion rate of Iranian rials to the U.S. dollar this morning is:

$1 = 42,350.50 rials

Yes, you read that correctly.

The price of everything in Iran has gone sky-high from household appliances and electronics to food and vehicles.

As an example, in the last 10 days alone, the cost of a Peugeot car (model 2008) rose by 250,000,000 million rials (about $6000).

And all of this is before the new U.S. sanctions on Iran are scheduled to kick in.

Here you have a regime that is spending hundreds of billions (perhaps hundreds of trillions) of rials to spread terrorism, and the Iranian population cannot afford the basic necessities of life.

If this model sounds familiar, it should. Take a look at how Hamas and Islamic Jihad have economically devastated Gaza.
