The News on the Israeli Street

Palestinian terror in the last 24 hours . . .

Palestinian terrorists on the Gaza border continue to launch incendiary kites, balloons, and now “planes” into southern Israel. Here are some pictures from yesterday:

Near the Kerem Shalom Crossing yesterday: this--the largest incendiary kite yet flown--crashed to the ground.

Fortunately, the incendiary device attached to it started a fire that was quickly extinguished.

A new "plane kite" carrying multiple explosive devices was seen in the skies over Israel yesterday.

Another incendiary balloon landed beside the dining room of a kibbutz in the Eshkol Region while others started fires in other locations.

In the middle of the afternoon, the IDF claimed that it struck a terrorist launching squad; however, this did nothing to stem the launches.

And, oh by the way, Israel resumed deliveries of concrete to UNRWA in Gaza yesterday as well as diesel fuel to power the Gaza power plant–enough concrete for Hamas to build more tunnels and fuel for Hamas and Islamic Jihad to power their hydraulic missile launchers.

And with these chants ringing in our ears:

“Israel No, Palestine Yes!”

“Shahids are comfortable in their peace; we are continuing their path!”

“Israel is a terrorist state!”

“With our blood we will redeem Palestine from the river to the sea.”

You can click here to listen to the demonstration and some of the chants yourself.

All of this in the middle of downtown Tel Aviv.

Obviously, had been billed as  a demonstration by Israeli-Arabs against the Nation State Law was something wildly different; it was a demonstration by Israeli-Arabs and leftist Jewish Israelis against the state of Israel.

And once again, as with the “Druze” protest in the same place last week that became an anti-government demonstration, the New Israel Fund was standing behind last night’s festivities.

Afterwards, Mickey Gitzin, the Director of the New Israel Fund, issued this statement:

“The future of the Israeli-Left is in the Jewish-Arab partnership.”

More specifically, a partnership between leftists like those affiliated with the New Israel Fund and Arabs who want to destroy this country.

Does anyone need anything more than the “demonstration” last night to show them why Israel needs a Nation-State Law?
