The News on the Israeli Street

Palestinian terror in the last 24 . . .

Along the Gaza border:

An extensive launch of incendiary balloons into southern Israel with resulting fires in numerous places such as Be’eri and Shokeda; a terrorist attack near Al-Burej which resulted in dead and wounded terrorists; multiple attacks involving grenades, IEDs, and Molotov cocktails resulting in two more dead terrorists; a mortar fired into Israel with no warning sirens: these were a few of the incidents that occurred during the afternoon and evening.

In Judea and Samaria:

Palestinian terrorists targeted Israeli men, women, and children at Adam, Beit El, Beitin, Beitar Illit, Hizma, Ofra, the British Police Junction, Karmei Tzur,  the Hasno Junction south of Hevron, Luban A-Sharqiya, Umm Safa, Hevron, and Turmus’aya to name a few locations.

Something to be happy about this Sukkot! . . .

According to a Bloomberg analysis, the Israeli health care system is now ranked the 6th best in the world, just after (in order): 1. Hong Kong; Singapore; Spain; Italy; and South Korea.

By way of comparison, the health system in the U.S., which was analyzed after the advent of Obamacare, was ranked 54th.

Good doctors and nurses, good hospitals, and many other factors all combine to produce a long life span.

Another high ranking . . .

According to the German based Asgard, Israel now has the 3rd largest artificial intelligence industry in the world. The United States is by far and away the leader, but Israel is nipping at China’s toes for second place.

This should be no surprise because the Global Competitive Index ranks Israel 3rd in the world in terms of “innovation.”
