The above picture was taken at the Netavim Air Force Base southeast of Beersheva. Two more F35I stealth aircraft arrived at the base from the U.S. yesterday bringing the total number of F35Is now in service in the IAF to 14. It is projected that Israel will eventually have 50 such airplanes.

The News on the Israeli Street

Palestinian terror in the last 24 hours . . .

In Judea and Samaria:

Palestinian terrorists carried out “rock” and Molotov attacks on Road 465 near Abud, Mount Hevron, beside the Halhul Bridge on the Trans-Judea highway, Hizma, between Beit Ummar and Karmei Tzur, Migdalot, and the Tapuach Junction.

Israelis were physically wounded and traumatized, but did you hear about any of these terror attacks in your media? Of course not. Nor were they reported in any Israeli mainstream media, nor are they even recorded as “terror events” by the Israel police who want to suppress news of Palestinian terror in Judea and Samaria.

On the Gaza border:

Talk about suppression. The Palestinian and Israeli media have suddenly stopped reporting anything happening on the border where Hamas continues sending thousands of terrorists to attack our soldiers everyday.

The most egregious incident yesterday involved three terrorists who cut a hole in the fence, entered Israel, burned a military outpost, and then returned to Gaza.

Rain, rain, don’t go away . . .

The last few weeks have seen significant rainfall in Israel, though hardly enough to reverse the effects of the nearly decade long drought.

Take a look at the following map put out yesterday by the Israel Meteorological Service following the thunderstorms three days ago (November 22-24) that swept across Israel:

The amounts in the legend in the upper left refer to the number of millimeters that fell.

The amounts in the legend in the upper left refer to the number of milliliters that fell.

Again, the graphic refers to November 22-24. As you can see, the heaviest rain fell in the north between Netanya and Nahariya.

TODAY’S BLOG:

The Clouds Part And The Sky Opens Wide For Israel

Let’s put you to the test this morning, dear readers.

Take a look at the following image, and try to figure out what it is of, and why it is incredibly significant.

What are you looking at?

What are you looking at?

If you haven’t figured it out yet, perhaps this will help:

What you are looking at, rather remarkably, is the flight path of El Al Flight 71 yesterday on its way from Tel Aviv to Mumbai. As you can see the flight path of the plane took it directly over Saudi Arabia.

El Al flies nonstop to Mumbai everyday, but normally the flight takes a circuitous route to avoid hostile Arab countries. Last month, it was reported that Air India will begin competing with El Al by providing nonstop service to Mumbai as well. At the time, El Al objected because it said that Air India could fly over Saudi Arabia and El Al could not; therefore, passengers on El Al would be spending an extra 4 hours in the air.

But look what has happened without any publicity whatsoever. El Al is now flying over Saudi Arabia!

Amazing.

In addition, you have probably seen that Idriss Deby, the President of Chad, is in Israel. Yesterday he met with PM Netanyahu, and they talked about Chad establishing an embassy in Jerusalem.

During the talk, the president apparently gave El Al flyover rights.

Not surprisingly, we have news this morning that Israel is now in intense negotiations with Sudan concerning rights to fly over that country as well.

Why is this important?

It would dramatically shorten the flight time from Tel Aviv to South America, specifically Brazil.

A nonstop flight to Sao Paolo would only take about 7 hours. By the way, Israel already has flyover rights from Nigeria.

If all this wasn’t enough yesterday, there was one more piece of interesting flight news. Another airline is now about to announce non-stop service to Tel Aviv.

Which airline do you think that is?

None other than the world’s most awarded airline–Singapore Airlines.

No matter which way you look today, Israel is reaching out to the world and being embraced–and the world is reaching out to Israel. The clouds are indeed parting.
