Palestinian terrorists accuse Americans of a war crime . . .

We live in an Orwellian world. The PLO spends its every waking hour fomenting terror attacks against Israelis, and cooks up the most amazing canards accusing others of terrorism.

This morning, Salih Al-Maliki, the PLO’s foreign minister, announced that the PLO has filed a lawsuit at the International Criminal Court in The Hague. Specifically, the PLO has filed suit against the United States accusing it of a “war crime” because it moved its embassy to Jerusalem.

Positively Orwellian.

TODAY’S BLOG:

Closer To The Brink: New Reports From The Persian Gulf

A series of items that has caught your humble servant’s eye today:

1. The commander of Iran’s Revolutionary Guards just issued this statement: “We are on the verge of confrontation with the enemy. The Islamic Republic is currently at the most crucial stage in its history as a result of the pressure of the enemy.”

[Obviously, this statement goes beyond the usual bellicosity we hear from the commander. It is an admission that U.S. sanctions have brought Iran to the breaking point].

2. The U.S. State Department has also ordered all non-emergency personnel out of Iraq.

[It is clear that the U.S. expects an attack on U.S. assets in Iraq.]

3. U.S. Secretary of State Pompeo revealed yesterday that Iranian militias have positioned missiles beside U.S. bases in Iraq.

[Clearly, this is what the U.S. is worried about.]

4. Exxon has ordered all of its workers to evacuate the oil fields in southern Iraq.

[Following the State Department’s lead . . .]

5. The U.S. repeated the charge today that Iranian sponsored rebels in Yemen and Shi’ite militias in Iraq are responsible for attacks on two Saudi tankers, a Norwegian ship, and a vessel of the UAE.

[If Iran is indeed attacking shipping in the Gulf and particularly in or near the Strait of Hormuz, it is a declaration of war.]

6. PM Netanyahu convened an emergency meeting this afternoon of Israel’s security heads to discuss the situation between Iran and the U.S.

[Enough said.]
