Please donate to OneIsrael!

We have begun our annual September fundraising drive to be joined on September 7 by a “OneIsrael Go Fund Me” site.

Last year, our goal was modest; we wanted to get “OneIsrael” off the ground, and so we have as you can tell by the top of this page (note that “israelstreet” will remain listed on donation buttons in the right hand column and other items until October 1).

The first step was to purchase domain names, the second was to direct those names to a common page, and the third was to begin planning how israelstreetwill gradually morph into OneIsrael.

Our ultimate goal this year is $50,000.

It is an ambitious goal but one we think we can reach with your help. The money will specifically be used to hire developers to establish OneIsrael as a non-profit,  redesign this website, reach out to groups that we identify as bringing unity to Israel, and establish an educational component consisting of important links and a speakers’ bureau.

It is an exciting time, and we hope you will join us on our journey to generate more support for Israel, to bring more unity to Israel, to work against the forces that seek to divide us, and to provide information about Israel that you can find nowhere else.

Please push/click on one of the Donate buttons in the right hand column  to make a contribution to OneIsrael via israelstreet

Thank you for your help!

The News On The Israeli Street

Palestinian terror in the last 24 hours . . .

In Judea and Samaria:

Palestinian terrorists continued their daily attacks with “rocks” and Molotovs in such places as the Nili Junction (a bus was attacked), near the Karmi Tzur Junction, between Ariel and the Gitit Avishar Junction, beside the Halhul Junction, Yakir, Hizma, and along Highway 5.

In other locations:

Palestinian terrorists attacked our security forces in Bethlehem overnight; one soldier was wounded.

Palestinian terrorists attacked Jews who were worshiping at Samuel’s Tomb near Jerusalem and in the Shimon HaTzadik neighborhood.

The Iranian nuclear program . . .

Your humble servant has always argued that the Iranian nuclear program never stopped–some of the most secret Iranian sites were always off-limit to inspectors.

This morning the Iranians announced that all sites are now off limits. This afternoon, Iran’s nuclear spokesman said that it would only take 48 hours to boost Iranian uranium enrichment to 20%.

Remember when the nuclear appeasement supporters claimed it would take months if not years to reach that level of enrichment?

Where are the John Kerrys of the world now?

On The Northern Border With Lebanon

Where the Hezbollah attack took place two days ago (the circled area) and where your humble servant is this morning:

Part of the Israel-Lebanon border. Note the circled area.

The way the area actually looks:

This morning finds your humble servant on the border with Lebanon (where I took this photo) beside an IDF base which overlooks the valley where the Hezbollah attack took place two days ago on Road 899 near Yiron. Directly across the valley is Lebanon about 2 km away.

See those house down there at the end of the dirt road? They are in Lebanon.

See those houses down there at the end of the dirt road? They are in Lebanon.

Driving north yesterday, the first thing we noticed were Israeli tanks being hauled south–a clear indication that the IDF feels that the current confrontation with Hezbollah is over. Once we arrived in this area, we encountered largely abandoned IDF roadblocks, and while the soldiers beside us remain on high alert, life has returned to normal.

That is thing that strikes you about this beautiful areaits peaceful normality.

Looking over at Lebanon, it’s hard to imagine that it is honeycombed with Hezbollah tunnels, launching sites, and ammunition dumps. There is no sign of anything except apparently peaceful towns and villages; you really have to pinch yourself to realize that this view of reality is surreal.

Every town and village in southern Lebanon is a Hezbollah base.

What is more, the idea that UNIFIL is doing anything to prevent war is laughable. Where were they the other day? At a moment, when Nasrallah was continuously declaring that an attack was imminent, UNIFIL simply disappeared.

Today, we will continue our travels along the border and post more pictures tomorrow.
