Disgusting Quote of the Day

“There is no progress on implementing sovereignty because PM Netanyahu will not proceed without American support.”

Knesset speaker Yariv Levin in a meeting yesterday.

Levin also is a member of the Israeli sovereignty negotiating team and for him to make such a statement indicates just how frozen the situation is.

And disgusting.

For all intents and purposes, it looks like the brave Jewish communities in Judea and Samaria are being hung out to dry once again by a pusillanimous Benjamin Netanyahu.

The News on the Israeli Street

Palestinians in the last 24 hours . . .

Remember the assassination of Jaber al-Kik (variously spelled al-Qeeq) that occurred two days ago? A senior PLO leader with the rank of colonel, al-Kik was gunned down (shot numerous times in the legs) and repeatedly stabbed and slashed in the torso while on a street in the town of Rafah in Gaza. Yesterday, we speculated that this was possibly part of the ongoing warfare between the PLO and Hamas.

However, today we know what happened.

Back in 1988, al-Kik murdered a man named Subhi al-Sufi because al-Sufi had accused al-Kik of sexually harassing a woman in Rafah. Al-Kik did not merely “murder” al-Sufi; he gruesomely chopped him to death with an axe in front of his wife and children and then burned his body in front of them. After he murdered him, he accused al-Sufi of being a collaborator with Israel.

Al-Kik was subsequently arrested for the murder (and others) by Israel and spent 5 years in prison before being released by Israel as part of the Oslo Accords deal in 1993. Unsurprisingly, he then became a member of the PLO police in Gaza.

But one of the children who watched his father being chopped to death and burned was Shadi al-Subhi who is now 37 years old. It was he along with a relative and another man who carried out the assassination of al-Kik.

Yesterday, after killing al-Kik, he wrote this on Facebook: “My father, I have cried for 32 years over your absence. Today I laughed with all my heart. Rest in peace in your grave, my father. I have slaughtered your adversary like a goat.”

Other Corona news:

*The opening of gyms and swimming pools yesterday shows just how chaotic the situation is here. After the Health Ministry and the Netanyahu Corona cabinet urged the Knesset Corona Committee to not open gyms and swimming pools because of the current surge of Corona, the Committee opened them anyway after being lobbied hard by gym and pool businesses.

*Israel is now performing some 27,000 tests per day–and about 6% of them are turning out positive.

More havoc in Iran . . .

A gas compound in northeastern Iran and a chemical plant in Mashhad are the two latest targets hit by whomever it is targeting Iran’s nuclear weapons program.

TODAY’S BLOG:

The Absolute Insanity of the Israeli Judicial System

Five years ago, a self-identified Palestinian carried out a terrorist attack at the Lion’s Gate in the Old City of Jerusalem in which he stabbed two Border Policemen, one (a 19-year-old)  in the neck, and the other in the hand. He was later captured in Ramallah during an operation in which two IDF soldiers were wounded.

After the attack, Interior Minister Arye Deri laudably refused to grant the terrorist’s mother residency status and ordered her deported from eastern Jerusalem. In making his decision, Deri noted that the terrorist was shaped by the “environment of his family.”

This past week Jerusalem District Judge Oded Shaham reversed that decision saying that it was a “violation of the fundamental right to human dignity” and ordered the Israel government to pay for all court costs.

Say what?

Here we have a mother, who like so many other Palestinian mothers, gleefully raised her son to be a terrorist. And then after he committed an act of terrorism expressed no remorse and even praised him.

Moreover, she is undoubtedly receiving money from the PLO as her son sits in prison.

And we are supposed to believe that she has human dignity?

What a joke.

Now she gets to stay in Jerusalem beside her other children so that she can continue to raise them to be terrorists as wellall paid for by us Israeli taxpayers.

Absolutely positively insane.
