According to the latest polls, about 70% of American Jews support Joe Biden for president; on the other hand, about 70% of Israeli-American Jews here in Israel support Donald Trump.

The rally above was an attempt to get the estimated 300,000 Israeli-Americans to vote.

A follow-up to yesterday’s blog about Muhammad and the Temple Mount . . .

Yesterday, we described the absurdity of how Muhammad was supposed to have flown to heaven on his magic night ride from the Temple Mount in Jerusalem.

Ironically, the Israeli Police announced this morning that the Temple Mount–the holiest place in Judaism–will be closed to all Jews on Thursday in honor of Muhammad’s birthday.

Absurdity on top of absurdity.

The UAE slaps the Palestinians in the face, again . . .

In another rather remarkable deal, E & A, the leading importer of wine and alcohol into the UAE (did you realize that wine and alcohol were imported into a Muslim country?) has just signed a deal with the wonderful Golan Heights winery.

Starting this week, E & A will begin importing Golan wines for sale in wine shops, hotel, restaurants, and nightclubs in Dubai and other Arab countries.

Not only is the UAE overtly breaching the Arab boycott of Israel–it is bringing in goods from our Golan Heights. The Syrians, not to mention the Palestinians, must be livid.

But the UAE just doesn’t care. Jason Dixon, CEO of E & A, had this to say yesterday: “The Golan Heights Winery is one of the leading and most decorated wineries in Israel, and we are excited to bring our customers in the UAE the unique wines of the winery for the first time. This is a historic launch, and we look forward to a successful and long-term collaboration.”

TODAY’S BLOG:

How Long Will They Last?

In yet more agreements rushed to be signed before the American election next week, the Trump Administration has agreed to eliminate territorial restrictions on US funding for scientific research in Israel.

More specifically, American funds will now be able to be used for scientific cooperation taking place in the Golan Heights and Area C of Judea and Samaria.

As positive as this sounds, the Agreements are an apparent American sop to PM Netanyahu for throwing the sovereignty movement under the bus. In this context, one wonders how Netanyahu has the gall to show up in Ariel today to tout the agreements.

But Netanyahu has no shortage of gall. Not only is he going to Ariel, but also he has refused to invite the two leading Jewish community leaders in Judea and Samaria to attend the ceremony–precisely because they have harshly criticized him for not implementing sovereignty.

Finally, one has to wonder how long these agreements will last. As much as we hope that President Trump wins the election, a Biden victory will almost certainly result in a complete reversal of these and other agreements and recognitions related to Judea and Samaria.
