Quote of the Day (Rejoicing in Tehran)

“Trump died, but the nuclear deal survived despite all the efforts made by the American extremists, the regional reactionaries in Saudi Arabia and the Gulf states, and the Zionists.”

Hassan Rouhani, Iranian President

It “survived” all right: Iran kept the planeload of cash that Obama and Biden flew to Tehran; Iran continued its nuclear weapons development program despite American sanctions and is now enriching uranium at a higher degree; and Iran has accelerated its ballistic missile program to develop missiles to deliver nuclear warheads–ballistic missiles that were not even covered in the nuclear deal.

The Bad Economic Statistic of the Day

Israel’s debts have now reached 73% of the country’s GDP, a percentage not seen since 2010.

The Sad News of the Day

Denisa, one of the oldest giraffes in the world in captivity, died Tuesday night at the Ramat Gan Animal Safari at the age of 31.

A favorite of the tens of thousands who saw her over the years because of her warm personality, Denisa came to Israel from the Netherlands 29 years ago and in the succeeding years she mothered 3 girls and 7 boys not to mention becoming the grandmother to many more.

The News on the Israeli Street

Palestinian terror in the last 24 hours . . .

A Palestinian terrorist attempted to run over police at the A-Tur Checkpoint in eastern Jerusalem. Fortunately, no police were wounded; unfortunately, the terrorist escaped.

Palestinian terrorists using “rocks” and Molotovs attacked Israelis on Road 446 near Nili Square, on the Trans-Judea highway beside the Olive Junction, beside Adam, on the Husan Bypass Road, in Erez Valley between Hevron and Kiryat Arba, and at Al-Aruv among other places.

The daily Corona update . . .

There are currently 81,493 active Corona cases in Israel.

The directors of Sha’are Zedek, Laniado, Maayan Hayeshua, Nazareth, French Hospital, and Holy Family Hospital have all informed MADA to not bring any more Corona patients to their hospitals.

Interesting data: more than 10,000 Israelis have tested positive within two weeks of receiving the first dose of the Pfizer vaccine, while antibody tests on health workers who have taken both doses show the vaccine working well.

Some good news . . .

Someone is finally trying to hold the abominable Breaking the Silence group accountable for the way they slander our troops. A group of former IDF soldiers has filed a 2.6 million shekel defamation lawsuit against Breaking the Silence in order to (in their words) “put an end to the filth, slander and delegitimizing of IDF soldiers.”

We wish them good luck.

TODAY’S BLOG

The High Court Of Injustice Strikes Again

Esther Horgan, murdered yesterday in northern Samaria.

Esther Horgan, gruesomely murdered in northern Samaria.

Remember Esther Horgan who was brutally murdered last month by a Palestinian terrorist who smashed her head in with a rock?

As you will recall, her murderer was captured and confessed.

His home was scheduled to be demolished tonight at 8:00 pm.

However, Israel’s High Court decided this morning to postpone the demolition pending a petition filed by the HaMoked organization on behalf of the terrorist.

Can you believe this?

A terrorist murderer petitions our High Court claiming that he is about to be the victim of a demolition . . . and our High Court agrees to hear his case?

Is this justice?

What has Israel come to?
