The incoming missile target area at 1:41 am Thursday morning.

Multiple explosions have heard in Beersheva, Ashkelon, Rishon Lezion, Jerusalem, Modi’in, and at various sites in the north.

It is completely unclear who is hearing what. Are residents in the center and south hearing and feeling explosions from the explosion(s) near Dimona? Are residents in the north hearing and feeling explosions from the IAF attack in Syria?

The IDF version of what is taking place:

Anti-aircraft missiles were fired at IAF aircraft during an attack on Iranian assets in Syria. All of the missiles missed their targets, but one of them continued on into Israel.

An Arrow missile was launched to intercept the incoming anti-aircraft missile, but it missed.  The missile subsequently exploded in an area near Dimona.

In response, the IAF is now attacking the Dumir area of Syria.

As we note, the above is the IDF version which we have learned over the years to not necessarily believe.

Obviously, the proximity of the missile explosion to Dimona is worrisome–and not the least because Iran has been threatening for months to stage a major retaliation “that all of Israel will feel” for Israeli strikes against Iranian assets.

More information will follow as it becomes available.
