Videos of the Day

Click here to see one of the missiles fired from Lebanon exploding very near to downtown Kiryat Shmona yesterday (look for the explosion in the upper left hand corner).

Click here to see a raft full of Arab-Israeli children on the Jordan River near Kfar Blum (in Israel) at a summer camp singing “With our blood we will redeem Palestine.

The Idiotic Decision/Quote of the Day

“Not everyone who holds a stone intends to attack a police officer.”

Judge Miriam Kelsey of the Jerusalem Magistrate’s Court

Kelsey released three Muslims who were accused of “throwing stones” at the Jerusalem Police on the Temple Mount during riots last month. They had been detained after they were seen holding bags full of  “rocks.”

Kelsey went on to blather that the rocks could have been intended for “passers-by”; however, there were only Police and Muslim rioters on the Mount at the time.

By the way, later in the day of the riots, after the three had been released from detention, they went to the Lion’s Gate and threw the “rocks” at the Police. Kelsey refused to consider this in her “decision.”

The News on the Israeli Street

The daily Corona update . . .

3,290 more Israelis were confirmed with Corona yesterday bringing to 24,268 the number of active cases in Israel.

234 are hospitalized with 51 in critical condition on ventilators.

6,503 Israelis have died.

More than 200,000 people in Israel have received the 3rd dose of vaccine, but more than a million Israelis have not been vaccinated at all.

Palestinian terror  . . .

Palestinian terrorists using “rocks” and Molotovs attacked Israelis between Ariel and Tapuach, near the al-Khader Junction, on the Gush Etzion-Jerusalem Road, between the Karmi Tzur Junction and Beit Omer, and at least a dozen other locations.

Palestinian terrorists using Molotovs attacked a bus near Hizma, another bus on the Gush Etzion-Hevron road near Maayan HaMa’ayan, another bus near Lupin’aya, and yet another bus south of the T-Junction, and still another bus between Ravava and Yakir (Israeli wounded in the eyes by shrapnel).

Palestinian terrorists threw Molotovs at the Karmi Tzur security fence.

Palestinian terrorists set fires just below Yitzhar:

TODAY’S BLOG:

There Is Method To Iranian Hezbollah Madness

We begin with a question which is “Can we believe anything that the IDF spokesman is telling us?”

As we know from years of spokesmanship here in southern Israel, the answer is most assuredly “No.”

All we know is what we can see, and that is precious little.

We know that two missiles were fired at northern Israel from southern Lebanon yesterday because we have video of the explosions (such as the one above).

The IDF spokesman wanted to tell us yesterday that they were fired by rogue Palestinian elements in Lebanon, not by Hezbollah.

However, numerous retired military officials repeated what we wrote here yesterday: nothing happens in southern Lebanon without permission of Hezbollah and Tehran.

Since those missiles hit, the IDF has lobbed numerous artillery shells at the suspected launch sites (hopefully with more accuracy than a few weeks ago when they missed by more than a mile), and the IAF has released video of strikes.

That video which purports to show that the sites were hit actually only shows a road being bombed.

All the while, we have the usual bluster from Jerusalem with PM Bennett and so-called “Defense Minister” Gantz threatening Lebanon should the missile fire continue.

It doesn’t take a rocket scientist (pardon the pun) to see that Iran and Hezbollah are heating up the northern border for a number of possible reasons:

*to distract the Lebanese from blaming Hezbollah for the massive problems in Lebanon?

*to employ a continuing circling strategy to surround Israel in the north, northeast, and south?

*to signal that the new hardline President of Iran who took power yesterday has attacking Israel high on his priority list (a possibility supported by recent actions in the Arabian Gulf)?

*to “feel out” Israel’s defenses and test Israel’s vulnerability?

Or none, some, or all of the above.

One thing for sure: there is method to Iranian/Hezbollah madness.
