Breaking News

Tragically, Border Policeman Bar-El Shmueli has died. May his memory always be for a blessing.

The Strangest Quote of the Morning

“The third vaccine works. Two million Israelis have already received it. There are already results: the increase in severe morbidity has begun to slow down.
But, the climax of the campaign is still ahead of us.”

PM Bennett speaking this morning

Hopefully, PM Bennett is right about the 3rd dose of the vaccine working. But we here at OneIsrael wonder what delusion he is living in about severe morbidity. 8569 new verifications were added on average every day during the past week. The previous “weekly average” record was on January 16 of this year. Not only this, but check the positive test rate below; it is the highest it has been in months at 7.81%.

The News on the Israeli Street

The daily Corona update . . .

6,576 more Israelis were confirmed yesterday as having Corona. There are now 79,625 active cases in the country.

The positive test rate yesterday was 7.81%–the highest in months.

1,055,836 Israelis have tested positive since the pandemic began last year.

731 Israelis are in serious condition with another 160 in critical condition on ventilators.

6,990 Israelis have died of Covid-19; an increase of 32 since yesterday.

Vaccinations:

5,962,290 Israelis have received 1 dose.

5,474,954 Israelis have received 2 doses.

2,041,949 Israelis have received 3 doses.

Two signs that the apocalypse is near . . .

1. Click on this 5 second video to watch an IDF soldier helping Palestinians illegally enter Israel through a hole in the security fence.

2. After getting the approval of PM Bennett, our so-called “Defense Minister” Benny Gantz helicoptered over to Ramallah late yesterday afternoon to meet with PLO Chairman Mahmoud Abbas (aka Abu Mazen).
About 20% of all men that are suffering from ED should try sildenafil cheap out! No man would dream to simply work on contract basis for 14 hours a day and simply sleep his way for the next day’s 14 hours. Prostate and levitra generika bladder cancer surgery often require removing tissue and nerves surrounding a tumor, which increases the risk for impotence.[6]) * Aging. * Lifestyle: alcohol and drugs, obesity, cigarette smoking. * Other disorders. But, they got the online levitra medicine of their desire and need. Activated viagra samples inside the pancreas, enzymes digest their own pancreatic gland causing pancreatitis.

Gantz’s office issued this statement afterwards: “Defense Minister Benny Gantz met tonight in Ramallah with Palestinian Authority Chairman Mahmoud Abbas and discussed security-political, civil and economic issues. Gantz told Chairman Abbas that Israel is ready for a series of measures that will strengthen the Palestinian Authority’s economy. The two also discussed shaping the security, civilian and economic realities.”

This morning, PM Bennett’s office issued this absurd statement:  “The Gantz-Abu Mazen meeting was approved in advance by the prime minister. This is a meeting that deals with current issues of the defense establishment with the Palestinian Authority. There is no political process with the Palestinians and neither will there be.”

Obviously, either Gantz or Bennett is lying.

Or both. Is it any coincidence that two days after Biden issued orders to Bennett, Israel shows up in Ramallah?

Of course not. Biden undoubtedly ordered Bennett to get the “Palestinian process” moving again. In other words, Biden ordered Israel to make concessions to the PLO.

TODAY’S BLOG:

The IDF General Command Moves Quickly To Crush Dissent

The information which forms the basis of today’s blog was taken from “Hakolhayudi”.

As you may not know, a major protest has erupted on social media based on the post of an IDF reserve officer following the shooting of Staff Sgt. Shmueli.

That officer excoriated the IDF General Command for its “no shoot” order on the Gaza border.

The reservist wrote:

“I do not need a cruel army against its own soldiers. If a “no shoot” order was given to me like the one given to Shmueli’s unit on the Gaza Border, I would refuse the order. Proudly!

So why do we need soldiers anyway if there is no permission to harm the enemy?. . . The IDF will manage without me. I may be a little screwed up, but this is my modest protest.”

Within hours, the reservist’s post had more than 15,000 “likes” and hundreds of more “shares.”

The tone of the response to the reservists comments has been bitter to say the least:

“This country is led by people blinded by money and power; the blood of IDF soldiers is unimportant in relation to doing business with the tycoons in Gaza.”

“When 69 soldiers are killed by him (referring to the IDF soldiers killed in the 2014 war with Hamas when Benny Gantz was IDF Chief of Staff), Benny Gantz  is not ashamed to be proud that he endangers soldiers so as not to harm the enemy. As a reward for this shameless pride, he is now the Defense Minister. Do not expect him to care about the life of one soldier.”

“The soldiers are 20 years old and do not understand anything. If they were a little older, they would understand that all of the soldiers along the Gaza Border should go home, and let the senior officers who issue the “No fire” instructions stand along the fence.”

“Benny Gantz and the defense establishment have become greedy pursuers of money and high-paying jobs after the military. They do not care about human life and the people of Israel.”

“Why buy weapons if the New Israel Fund blocks soldiers from using them?”

“None of the senior ministers’ children serve in combat positions.”

Your humble servant is not saying that he agrees with all of these comments, but they provide a glimpse into the chasm that has developed between combat soldiers on the ground and the IDF General Command.

Trust has been badly eroded because of the General Command’s prioritizing falsely-called “humanitarian values” over the supremely important humanitarian value of supporting our soldiers.

In any case, as you can imagine, what the reservist said and how people have responded have not not gone over well with the powers that be. Last night, the reservist was unceremoniously drummed out of the IDF Reserves.
