The Ridiculous Photo/Tweet of the Day

So our constantly gallivanting FM Yair Lapid is in Washington (less than a month after a junket to Morocco that cost Israeli taxpayers almost a million shekels).

And the moronic Lapid has now identified Kamala Harris of all people as “one of Israel’s best friends in Washington” and someone who always stands with us in important struggles and “who we can always count on in difficult moments.”

What a sick joke.

This is the same Kamala Harris who complimented a student at George Mason University last week for expressing “your voice, your perspective, your experience, your truth that cannot be suppressed” when the student accused Israel of “ethnic genocide.”

This is the same Kamala Harris who has refused to attend AIPAC conferences in the past and who defended House Rep. Ilhan Omar after she made anti-Semitic comments concerning Israel.

Former boxer and newscaster Lapid can blather anything he wants about Vice President Harris, but we all know that she is not one of Israel’s best friends nor can she be counted on to stand with Israel in difficult times.

Of course, we can say the same thing about FM Lapid.

TODAY’S BLOG:

The Great Israel-Jordan Water Fiasco

It is unnecessary today to recount the constant vitriol against Israel pouring out of Jordan about items like the Temple Mount or at venues such as the United Nations. It goes without saying, that Jordan is no friend of Israel.

And yet Israel treats King Abdullah and all of his anti-Israel minions as if they are our best friends. Nowhere is this more evident than in the water Israel provides the so-called “Hashemite Kingdom.”

Several days ago, our Concession Government’s Energy Minister, Karin Elharar signed a new agreement with Jordan’s Water Commissioner Muhammad al-Najar. In the process of proudly revealing this new agreement, the following facts emerged:

*Israeli consumers pay $2.48 (8 shekels as of this morning) per cubic meter of water.

*Following the “peace treaty” treaty with Jordan in 1994, Israel started selling 50,000,000 cu meters of water per year to Jordan from the Kineret (Sea of Galilee), an amount that was increased to 60,000,000 cu meters a decade ago. The water was practically given away–with the Jordanians paying only .04 cents per cubic meter.

*According to the new agreement our government is so proud of, the Jordanians will now pay .65 cents per cu meter, about 1/4 of what Israelis pay. In essence, the Israeli taxpayer is still subsidizing sending water to our viciously unfriendly neighbors.*

*What is even worse, the agreement actually specifies that the Jordanians can increase the amount of water they take if they are willing to pay .75 per cu meter.

What is missing from all of this is how the constant Jordanian drain on the Kineret nearly sucked our national lake dry a few years ago, and only now has it somewhat recovered.

The Kineret will soon find itself in dire straits again because of our idiotic “good neighbor” policy.

*Addendum: by the way, who knows what we will be selling natural gas to Lebanon and Syria for?
