The Never Ending Cycle of Terror In Israel
The four terrorists who were involved in the murder of Yehuda Dimentman were captured last night in the Palestinian settlement of Silad al-Harithiya, northwest of Jenin. The operation was carried out by a special unit of the police in conjunction with the Israel Security Agency (Shin Bet) and the IDF.
While many look at the capture as cause for celebration, all your humble servant sees is a continuation of the never ending cycle of terror.
How many times in recent years have we seen this sequence of events:
1. Governmental and IDF “humanitarian” policies create an environment that empowers and emboldens the terrorists.
2. A terrorist attack takes place that results in the murder of an Israeli or Israelis.
3. Politicians quickly step to the podium and declare that “we will not rest until the barbaric murderers are caught.”
4. After a few days or weeks the murderers are captured.
5. Immediately they will begin drawing a salary from the PLO. The murderers will be glorified in Palestinian society. Every public building will be plastered with their “heroic” faces. Streets and schools will be named after them. They will be taught about in schools inciting a new batch of terrorists.
6. Shortly thereafter, another murderous attack will take place.
7. After a year or two, the murderers will be convicted and sent to prison.
8. Somewhere down the road, they will probably be released in a “prisoner” exchange.
This is the pathetic cycle of terror here.
