The Unfortunately True Quote of the Day

“The Iranians are stepping up their attacks; we just saw a cyber attack this week. The actual war between Israel and Iran already exists and goes on behind the scenes right before our eyes . . .  After Iran enters into the Vienna agreement, the attacks against us will intensify.

Books will be written about how Iran folded the world in brilliant negotiation exercises and managed to not only bring back the worthless 2015 agreement but also get hundreds of billions of dollars unfrozen.

America is weak against Iran, and it will be weaker the day after the agreement. The United States will not have teeth to enforce the agreement, and the Iranians themselves will no longer have to do anything.  Iran will be a nuclear threshold country with the agreement; this is the new reality.

Iran is not only not afraid of Israel, but also it has risen in stature: the world stands by it.”

Purim may be over, but some Israeli cities make it a week-long event. Here was the festival in Nahariya this morning.

The News on the Israeli Street

The daily Corona update . . .

6,970 new cases of Corona were confirmed yesterday bringing to 41,841 the total number of Israelis with an active case of Covid-19.

The positive test rate was 12.67%.

291 Israelis are in serious condition in hospitals with another 137 in critical condition on ventilators.

10,417 Israelis have died of Corona–12 since yesterday.

To summarize, the number of new cases, the total number of active cases, and the positive test rate all continue creeping upward. On the other hand, the number of seriously and critically patients continues to slowly decrease. Daily deaths remain about the same.

Palestinian terror in the last 24 hours . . .

Palestinian terrorists opened fire on IDF soldiers near Aqraba. No soldiers were wounded. Two terrorists were subsequently captured–one of whom was shot and wounded.

Palestinian terrorists using Molotovs and “rocks” attacked Israelis on the Gush Etzion-Hevron Road near the Karmi Tzur Junction, Maayan Avraham in Hevron, Psagot, Al Aruv, south of Susiya on Mt. Hevron, on Road 446 south of the Ofarim Junction, Maida, near Givat Assaf, Hizma, on Road 463 west of the Postal Junction, Talmon, near Avnei Hefetz, Luban a-Sharqiya, between the T Junction and the Ma’ale Amos Junction, between Hevron and Kiryat Arba among other places.

Palestinian terrorists attempted to destroy the security fences at Nili and Einav.

Palestinian terrorists attacked an IDF post near Beit Romano in Hevron.

Palestinian terrorists threw Molotovs at houses in Shaaei Tikva.

Israel Police and the General Security Services announced yesterday that a number of Hamasniks have been arrested. They were part of a cell operated out of and funded from Turkey (where President Herzog recently went and praised Turkish PM Erdogan).

The above information was reported to Josh at Rescue Without Borders SSF.

The Ukrainian situation in Israel . . .

Since the beginning of the Russian invasion, 11,550 Ukrainians have entered Israel whereas 1,050 have left (presumably to return and fight).

Out of the 11,550, 7,900 are on a tourist visa and 3,650 are entitled to citizenship under the Law of Return.

TODAY’S BLOG

PM Bennett and FM Lapid: Morons On Parade

Regular readers of OneIsrael are very aware of how your humble servant has continually been criticizing our Coalition Government for its continual kowtowing to the Biden Administration.

Even insofar as the Iran Nuclear Weapons Agreement is concerned, Bennett and Lapid have barely offered a scintilla of resistance, preferring apparently to trust Joe Biden and his minions to produce an agreement that Israel can live with.

However, Bennett and Lapid seem to have belatedly awakened from their slumber with the incredible news that the Iranian Revolutionary Guards are most probably being taken off of the U.S. terror blacklist in return for a promise not to engage in terrorism.

Today, our clownish and cretinous twosome produced this letter:

“The Iranian Revolutionary Guards are Hezbollah in Lebanon, they are the Islamic Jihad in Gaza, they are the Houthis in Yemen, they are the militias in Iraq.

The Revolutionary Guards are behind the attacks on American civilians and soldiers throughout the Middle East, including in the past year. They are the ones behind the plans to assassinate senior American government officials.

The Revolutionary Guards took part in the murder of hundreds of thousands of Syrian civilians, they destroyed Lebanon, they are engaged in the murderous repression of Iranian civilians. They kill Jews because they are Jews, Christians because they are Christians, and Muslims because they do not surrender to them.

They are a central and integral part of the murderous repression machine in Iran. Their hands are stained with the blood of thousands of Iranians and the trampling of the soul of Iranian society.

The attempt to abolish the definition of the Revolutionary Guards as a terrorist organization is an insult to the victims and the erasure of a documented reality, which has unequivocal evidence. We find it hard to believe that the definition of the Revolutionary Guards as a terrorist organization will be abolished in exchange for a “promise not to harm the Americans.” *

The war on terror is a mission of the whole world. We believe that the United States will not abandon its closest allies in exchange for empty promises from terrorists. “

The U.S. will not abandon its closest allies in exchange for empty promises from terrorists?

Your humble servant wonders where the laughter is the loudest–in Washington or Tehran?
