The Egregiously Disgusting Quote of the Day

“Wishing a blessed month with mutual respect for our beloved Muslims throughout Israel and the world.”

FM Yair Lapid, issuing Ramadan good wishes to Muslims.

This nothing but liberal humanitarian nonsense.  “Our beloved Muslims”? Many if not most of these “beloved” want to see Israel destroyed and Jews murdered.

The News on the Israeli Street

Palestinian terror in the last 24 hours . . .

3 Palestinian terrorists were killed by Border Police forces between Jenin and Tulkarm (as reported in breaking news, yesterday). The Border Policeman who was critically wounded is showing improvement at Rambam Hospital.

Palestinian terrorists threw Molotovs and “rocks” at an IDF checkpoint at Hursa.

Palestinian terrorists threw Molotovs and “rocks” at Israeli motorists and buses south of the Liberman Bridge, at Mt. Hevron, on Road 60 south of Singil, on the Jerusalem-Gush Etzion Toad at al-Khader and Al Abud, at Beit Izza, at th Beit Anun Junction north of Kiryat Arba, east of Beit Haggai, south of Givat Assaf, on the Gush Etzion-Hevron Road near Beit Omer, and on Road 458 neat El Muayyir among other places.

The daily Corona update . . .

OneIsrael has not published an update since Tuesday because the Health Ministry has not given an update until today.

7,344 new cases of Corona were confirmed yesterday bringing to 61,976 the total number of Israelis with an active case of Covid-19.

The positive test rate was 22.78%.

265 Israelis are in serious condition in hospitals with another 121 in critical condition on ventilators.

10,530 Israelis have died of Corona–45 since Tuesday.

The positive test rate remains astronomically high; the low number of new cases is simply because fewer people were tested on Shabbat. Approximately 10 Israelis are dying each day from Corona.

The battle over chametz . . .

A battle royal has erupted over whether hospitals can serve non “kosher for Passover” to patients during Passover.

This morning ultra leftist Health Minister Nitzan Horowitz demanded that hospital directors not prevent non-kosher for Passover food from entering hospitals in order to allow “each patient to act in his own way without coercion.”

So now it is coercion if a non-Jewish patient is served kosher for passover food? Does anyone remember that Israel is a Jewish country?

In response, one of the leaders of the Coalition, Idit Silman of Yamina, declared that Horowitz should be dismissed as Health Minister.

The Disastrous Condition of the “Security Fence”

When is a fence not a fence?

When is a fence not a fence? State Comptroller Matanyahu Englman taking a look at the “barrier near Matan, northwest of Tel Aviv on Thursday with Oshrat Gonen, the director of the Southern Sharon Regional Council  (photo: Times of Israel)

In light of the ease by which the Palestinian terrorist who carried out the attack in Bnei Brak the other day entered Israel through a hole in the security fence, attention is now finally be focused on the disastrous condition of the barrier.

Comptroller Engleman had this to say after his visit:

“We see here openings through which thousands of Palestinians pass, with and without permits, without any oversight, including the possibility of vehicles entering. It is a significant and substantial failure. PM Bennett and the government need to come to their senses and realize that the separation barrier that was declared a significant tool in protecting Israeli citizens from terrorists is easily breached and no longer relevant.”

Oshrat Gonen added: “For years we have been alerting the Defense Ministry and the Public Security Ministry that we feel like we’ve been left for dead because this fence can be crossed easily and that’s what happens. Our only demand — and now more than ever we see how much of a justified demand it is — is to close these gaps, to maintain it and to position security forces along the fence.”

Gonen is not the only person who has been demanding closing the gaps in the fence which was supposed to run for 708 kilometers. Yossi Dagan of the Yesha Council has been trying to alert Israeli authorities for decades to no avail. In fact, only 85% of the fence was ever completed and that 85% is falling apart.

In what can only be described as a pathetic statement, the IDF announced this evening that it estimated that “only” 15o illegal Palestinians entered Israel today through holes in the fence in the seam line–compared to tens of thousands who enter every Sunday.

“Only” 15o. “Tens of thousands who enter every Sunday.”  In the fence “in the seam line” (a relatively small portion of the fence).

What do these facts tell us? Another terror attack is coming soon.
