Missile Attack on Ashkelon A Few Hours Ago

The Ironic Quote of Yesterday:

“We brought life back to the children of Sderot, Netivot, Ashkelon and along the Gaza Border. A year ago, as soon as I took office, the South burned rockets and incendiary balloons, as usual . . . With a determined and sophisticated approach we changed the situation from end to end. We have now closed the quietest and safest year in the South.
We will continue to do so.”

PM Naftali Bennett crowing about his faux achievements yesterday–not mentioning the blackmail money being paid to Hamas to stop rocket fire and incendiary balloons.

Just hours after the above words came out of Bennett’s mouth, we were awakened here in far south Ashdod at 3:10 am this morning by the sound of incoming missile alarms for the Ashkelon area:

Where the incoming missile alarms sounded at 3:10 am. Your humble servant's home is just off the map to the north of Ashkelon.

At least one missile was intercepted by the Iron Dome over Ashkelon. Click here for video.

At 6:37 am this morning, we were awakened by IAF jets overhead heading for Gaza. This was followed shortly thereafter by a series of explosions from the Gaza area that rattled the windows on our house. There are no reports yet of what if anything was hit.

It is now 7:21 am and the “booms” are continuing.

More information will follow if the situation further deteriorates.
