Major Bar Falah, a deputy commander of the Nahal Brigade, who was killed in a firefight with terrorists near Jenin last night.

Major Falah was killed at the Jalama Crossing last night after his patrol encountered two terrorists. In the ensuing firefight, Falah heroically killed the two terrorists after being shot, but died shortly thereafter from wounds he received.

The News on the Israeli Street

Palestinian terror in the last 24 hours . . .

Aside from the horrific terror incident described above:

Palestinian terrorists attacked Israelis with IEDs, Molotovs, and “rocks” on the Gush Etzion-Hevron Road near Beit Omer, at Mabatari Halhul, Al Fawwar, near Al-Aruv, and at numerous other locations.

In one particularly egregious “rock” attack, terrorists nearly murdered a 70-year-old woman in Samaria:

The windshield of the woman's car.

How bad is the wild boar situation in Haifa? . . .

Click here to watch a 30 second video of a boar that broke through the window of a ground-level apartment and ransacked the room it landed in.

Speaking of Haifa . . .

The big game was tonight with Paris Saint Germain playing Maccabi Haifa at 9 pm. The PSG team–complete with Leo Messi, Neymar, and Kylian Mbappe arrived in Haifa last night by bus.

The final score was PSG 3- Haifa 1.

The political fog begins to lift . . .

As the deadline nears for each political party to submit its list of candidates for the November election, a number of intriguing events took place yesterday.

The newly reformed Jewish Home Party which has Ayelet Shaked as its head recruited Nitsana Darshan-Leitner–the head of the wonderful lawfare organization Shurat HaDin–to be number 4 on its list. The addition adds badly needed luster to the Party.

Omer Bar Lev, the current, abominable, Homeland Security Minister intimated that he will not run in the election because he placed so far down the list in the Labor Party primaries.

About those cigars . . .

The Netanyahu trial(s) drag on.

We all know by now that one of the charges leveled against former PM in Case 1000 is that he received cigars from Arnon Milchan in return for favors he did for the Hollywood producer.

However, in a cross examination of the main witness against Netanyahu yesterday, that witness was forced to admit that many of the cigars listed in the indictment were never delivered to Netanyahu at all–and that other cigars supposedly delivered to Netanyahu were delivered to Milchan after the indictment against Netanyahu was handed down.

Congratulations! . . .

Jonathan and Rivka. Mazeltov!

Jonathan and Rivka. Mazeltov!

Jonathan Pollard and Rivka Avrahamis-Donin announced their engagement today. Rivka is the mother of seven children from Jerusalem whose husband died several years ago. She and Jonathan were introduced by Esther Pollard before she passed away in January.

We wish the couple a hearty congratulations!
