UPDATE 8:00 AM

The Wonderful Photos of the Morning

Rafah

The scene in Rafah yesterday after an IAF missile targeted Muhammad Abu Hasna.

Hasna was the HamISIS terrorist who headed the organization’s operations in Rafah. Hasna’s extensive activity included directing and activating HamISIS field “operatives” (aka terrorists). Also killed in the attack was Nidal Eid, the HamISIS terrorist in charge of emergency operations in Rafah.

Lebanon

The scene in Tyre, Lebanon yesterday after an IAF missile hit the car carrying HamISIS terrorist Hadi Mustafa.

Mustafa planned terror attacks against Israelis around the world and had been a deputy of Saleh Al-Arouri who was assassinated at the beginning of January.

The Hilarious Quote of the Morning

“This is not the time for politics.”

Benny Gantz, leader of the so-called “State Camp”, commenting on the announcement by Gideon Sa’ar that Sa’ar is breaking away from “State Camp” to form his own party.

In doing so, Sa’ar expressed his disappointment in Gantz’s willingness to have a Palestinian state and in Gantz’s urging reduced IDF attacks in Gaza.

Why is the quote hilarious? Because nobody is more political than Gantz. It was just a couple of weeks ago that Gantz flew off to the U.S. to promote his political future in complete disregard of PM Netanyahu’s directive.

By the way, according to snap polls this morning, Sa’ar’s defection from Gantz has changed the political landscape here. More on this later . . .

Talk about being off course: these are a few of the dozens of parachuted "humanitarian" aid drops for Gaza that landed on the coast of Tyre, Lebanon yesterday.

On the Ground in the South

*We have awakened this morning to intense fire coming from the sea in front of our house here in Ashdod. The Navy is firing repeatedly at a target or targets between here and Ashkelon. This comes after the news yesterday that HamISIS once again sent terrorist divers into the sea to try to reach Israel. They were intercepted by our naval forces.

*The IDF in Gaza on multiple fronts this morning with artillery fire toward El Boreij, Kuwait Square in Gaza City, Deir Al-Balach, the Sheikh Nasser neighborhood in Khan Younis, Nuseirat, and Beit Hanoun.

*One interesting piece of reportage yesterday: a captured HamISIS commando revealed during interrogation where a group of 15 terrorists was located. Our forces subsequently eliminated them.

On the Ground in and around Jerusalem

More information on the attack at the Tunnel Checkpoint yesterday: the attack was carried out by a 15-year-old terrorist who arrived at the checkpoint on an electric bicycle.

He was confronted by a female soldier who ordered him to get off the bike. He immediately began stabbing her. When a security guard quickly came to her aid, the terrorist stabbed him six times: three times in the head, and once in the neck, shoulder, and hand.

Finally, he was shot and killed.

Both the soldier and the security guard remain hospitalized in critical condition this morning.
