–>Miraculous news!

The soldier-- who will remained unnamed for purposes of privacy.

“Yagel”: Israel’s prayers have been answered.

The above soldier, who was shot in the head by a Palestinian sniper four months ago, and was expected to die numerous times, walked out of an Israeli hospital yesterday.

His recovery was truly a miracle.

If you are religiously inclined, Israeli soldiers and civilians badly wounded in terror attacks need your prayers.

–>Continued governmental incompetence:

For the past few months, we have commented on the complete incompetence of the Netanyahu government in dealing with the wave of violence that has consumed Judea, Samaria, and eastern Jerusalem.

One of the mainstays of the Netanyahu program of deterrence was supposed to have been the demolition of terrorists’ “homes” (meaning actual houses or apartments).

Yesterday came news that out of the 230 homes occupied by terrorists who have been involved in the murder and wounding of Israelis since last September, only 12 have been demolished.

12.

Apparently 124 other houses have been marked and mapped for destruction, but because of bureaucratic and judicial roadblocks, nothing has taken place.

–>The Russian “withdrawal” from Syria.

Much ado has been made about Vladimir Putin’s announcement several days ago that Russian forces are withdrawing from Syria.

Too much ado.

In fact, the announcement only stated that there would be a “gradual” withdrawal “as the situation permits.” More than this, Russia has no plans to withdraw completely, and has noted since the announcement that some of its military bases will not be affected, such as the naval and air bases around Latakia.

This morning, Iranian and Hezbollah sources have denied that any Russian withdrawal is taking place.

TODAY’S BLOG:

E.U. representative and Dutch "head of mission" in Ramallah Peter Mollema surveys another empty plot of land in Israeli Judea for construction of a new Palestinian settlement.

As we flew into Israel late yesterday afternoon, our Boeing 777 lumbered far out over Judea before it turned back to fly into Ben Gurion airport. At a very low altitude of about 1000 feet, we flew directly over numerous, tiny Palestinian settlements in Area C. What was remarkable about these settlements was how virtually all of them had distinctive new modular buildings.

Where did all of these buildings come from?

They are funded and built by the European Union which is on a massive mission to transform facts on the ground in Judea and Samaria–especially in Area C. To date, the E.U. has built more than 1000 illegal buildings at some 40 locations in Area C. As soon as Israel destroys one of these illegal buildings, the E.U. rebuilds it.

Far from a haphazard building plan, the E.U. in conjunction with their Palestinian friends, has mapped all of Area C and targeted specific, strategic areas in which to build.

As we have pointed out in recent blogs, these areas are then linked by EU built roads.

The last step of the process is to transfer population. The E.U. is intent on relocating Palestinians who live in Areas A and B to Area C.

Israel must step up its efforts to stop this fraudulent land grab and illegal movement of Palestinians before it is too late.
