Palestinian terror in the last 24 hours

At around 6 pm yesterday, three border policemen were wounded when they were run over by a terrorist near Beit Ummar. All three were treated by IDF paramedics on the scene and evacuated to a nearby hospital. The terrorist was shot and killed.

Earlier in the day, a 5-year-old boy was wounded when he was hit in the head by a “rock” while riding in his car seat.

The attack took place near Tekoa in Gush Etzion. The boy was rushed to Hadassah Hospital for treatment. Another car was also hit–the terrorist (s) escaped.

Prior to the Tekoa attack, multiple Molotov attacks occurred near the Halhul Bridge. Several cars nearly crashed when firebombs struck and crashed into the sides of the cars.

Other “Molotov” assaults took place during the day at Karmi Tzur, al-Barid, Budrus, and Hevron.

Other “rock” attacks took place near Telem, Revivim, Beit El, Hizma, Husan, and numerous other places.

The Iranian grip on the neighborhood tightens

Shi’ite Muslim, Iranian proxy, Hezbollah is set to make a major political gain today when Maronite Christian Michel Aoun is elected president of Lebanon.

Yes, you read that correctly.

Aoun jumped on the Hezbollah bandwagon ten years ago when he sought protection for his so-called “Free Patriotic Movement.” Hezbollah has defended him ever since.

What is remarkable is that given the huge numbers of Hezbollah fighters killed in Syria (and numerous others badly wounded), Hezbollah is now consolidating its power in Lebanon. It seems that there is no end to the idiocy of the Lebanese.

The “Triumph” and “Tragedy” of Ari Shavit

Shavit and his cleverly named book: "Triumph" for the "right"; "Tragedy" for the "left."

Ari Shavit, the leftist Israeli journalist who has made a fortune in speaking fees and royalties stemming from his book “My Promised Land: The Triumph and Tragedy of Israel” resigned yesterday over allegations of sexual impropriety.

Shavit’s genius was how he played both sides of the fence, reaping fees from J Street and its allies for years (until 2014, see below) for criticizing Israel, and fees from AIPAC and its allies for describing that his book was a paean to Israel (and that various anti-Israel chapters were simply taken out of context).

However, the revelations of Jewish Journal reporter Danielle Berrin last week, and a J Street intern two days ago that Shavit “groped” her back in 2014 and made inappropriate suggestions and telephone calls led to his meteoric demise.

In fact, Shavit’s behavior was so egregious toward the intern that J St head Jeremy Ben Ami said yesterday that the J St organization stopped sponsoring him two years ago. However, one wonders why J St did not go public back then about Shavit’s sexual improprieties?

Who knows how many other women were accosted by Shavit on his multiple speaking/groping tours around the world–especially in the United States?
