PLO Spokesman John Kerry Strikes Again

This is how Israelis will forever remember John Kerry: waving his finger at us and lecturing us about he knows better than we do what is good for Israel (photo EPA).

This is how Israelis will forever remember John Kerry: waving his finger at us and arrogantly lecturing us about how he knows better than we do what is good for Israel (photo EPA).

The degree to which John Kerry and the Obama Administration have bought into the Palestinian narrative continues to be egregiously nauseous.

It was not enough that Obama and Kerry allowed a resolution to pass the Security Council that unequivocally stated that the Old City of Jerusalem, including the Jewish Quarter, Kotel (Western Wall), and Temple Mount, is “occupied illegally” by Israel. Yesterday, John Kerry continued his onslaught against Israel by taking the extraordinary step of warning President-Elect Trump not to move the American Embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem.

In an interview with CBS News, Kerry parroted the PLO line by saying that such a move would cause “an absolute explosion in the region, not just in the West Bank, and perhaps even in Israel itself, but throughout the region.”

It should be mentioned that all generics are the complete analogues of the original preparations, but cialis canadian are significantly (several times) cheaper. Is it really possible that Kerry is so short-sighted that he cannot see that such comments actually encourage violence? Of course not. Kerry knows full well what he is doing–and what he is doing is acting once again to undermine Israel–the only country in the world which does not have the American Embassy in its capital.

In the interview, Kerry continued this undermining by questioning that Israel has any sovereignty in Jerusalem at all: “If all of a sudden, Jerusalem is declared to be the location of our embassy, that has issues of sovereignty, [and] issues of law that would deem to be affected by that move.”

Issues of sovereignty? Issues of law? Yes, insofar as the Palestinians and the Obama Administration’s friends in the United Nations are concerned. But, for that matter, as far as the Palestinians are concerned, Israel itself should not exist because of “issues of sovereignty” and “issues of law.”

As far as your humble servant is concerned, the Palestinians and the world can take their issues of sovereignty and law and go jump. Jerusalem, including the Old City of Jerusalem, is the eternal sovereign capital of Israel. Period.

But Kerry wasn’t finished. To top it off, he proclaimed that such a move might even spell the end of Jordanian and Egyptian interaction with Israel: “[The move] that would have profound impact on the readiness of Jordan and Egypt to be able to be supportive and engaged with Israel as they are today.”

It is not just that Kerry has become the leading spokesman of the PLO, what he is doing is recklessly creating a self-fulfilling prophecy which will allow the Palestinians and Arabs to attack Israel (and possibly the United States) with impunity should the Embassy be moved.

Moreover, after the publication of Kerry’s comments, Jordan and Egypt will now be under the gun by their fellow Arabs to reconsider their treaties with Israel. In this sense Kerry and Obama are recklessly attempting to destabilize the status quo–just as they have done throughout the Middle East (and world).

One final word. The Obama Administration has spent eight years adopting the PLO narrative; it is not surprising that they are now attempting to foist that narrative on the incoming Trump Administration. It may not be surprising, but it is, as previously stated, egregiously nauseous.
