The News on the Israeli Street

Palestinian terror in the last 24 hours . . .

There were terrorist attacks of all types throughout Judea and Samaria yesterday.

In Nahliel, Palestinian arsonists set fire to a vineyard just at the entrance to the community.

A Jewish community's vineyard goes up in flames yesterday at Nahliel. Note the community firefighters trying to douse the flames.

On the Gaza border, two terrorists were captured after breaching the security fence.

In numerous places, Palestinian terrorists threw “rocks” and Molotovs at Israeli motorists.

The windshield of a car hit by a “rock” at Ma’ale Levona yesterday. Fortunately, no one was physically wounded, but passengers in the car had to be treated for trauma.

Just when you thought you had heard every conceivable charge leveled against Israel . . .

Remember the ridiculous story from a couple of months ago of how the Lebanese Army boasted that it had captured a welcome balloon that had escaped from Ben Gurion airport?

The Lebanese Army announced yesterday that an IDF patrol penetrated 50 meters into Lebanon in an effort to kidnap a shepherd who was grazing his sheep. The Lebanese crowed that the shepherd and his sheep had successfully repulsed the attempt.

What in the world will the Lebanese think of next?

Speaking of Lebanon . . .

*The Russian Ambassador to Lebanon warned Israel yesterday that tens of thousands of Israelis will be killed if Israel goes to war against Hezbollah.

*In an extraordinary “Statement” published yesterday by the U.S. State Department, Secretary of State Rex Tillerson declared U.S. respect for just-resigned Saad Al-Hariri “as a strong partner of the United States.” The statement went on to say:

“There is no legitimate place or role in Lebanon for any foreign forces, militias, or armed elements other than the legitimate security forces of the Lebanese state–which must be recognized as the sole authority for security in Lebanon. The United States cautions any party, within or outside Lebanon, using Lebanon as a venue for proxy conflicts or in any manner contributing to instability in that country.”

Obviously, this statement is designed to bolster the Saudi verbal attack on Hezbollah and Iran, but of course, it is meaningless. Hariri is out; nothing happens in Lebanon without Hezbollah approval, and Iran is pulling all the strings like the master puppeteer that it is.

Speaking of the U.S. . . .

Operation Blue Flag, the largest aerial exercise in the history of the Israel Air Force has just been completed with planes from India, France, Germany, and the U.S.  all engaged in war games over Israel.

John Kerry: A Particularly Dangerous Evil Wrapped in Sheep’s Clothing

Apparently there is no limit to the animus that former U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry has against Israel. And no limit to his malevolence as he spews lie after lie about the failure of his beloved “peace process.”

What has made been made public in recent days are remarks that Kerry made at some time during the past year at a “closed conference” in Dubai.  The remarks were taped by someone at the conference, then obtained and broadcast by Channel 10 News in Israel.

Kerry’s statements are simply extraordinary for their embrace of the Palestinian narrative, and their visceral disgust with our democratically elected Israeli leadership and the people of Israel.

Consequently, it is ideal to know every one of the most striking features is that the root troubles are being effectively treated by means of these capsules and thus the troubles do not come back. Phil took an instant viagra in kanada liking to me.

Here are a few of the most egregious snippets.

First, in speaking of the wave of Palestinian violence that has swept Israel (particularly Judea, Samaria, and Jerusalem) since September of 2015, Kerry ranted an out and out lie:

“The Palestinians have done an extraordinary job of remaining committed to nonviolence. And in fact when the “knife intifada” took place they delivered non-violence in the West Bank.”

Is it really possible that Kerry doesn’t know that during this period, the Palestinians led by Mahmoud Abbas did everything possible to incite the Palestinian population–particularly young Palestinians–to carry out “rock” and Molotov throwing, stabbing, ramming, and shooting attacks against Israeli men, women, and children and that nearly 100 were murdered?

Of course it is not possible.

Then Kerry proceeds to criticize the Israeli people and blast our government:

“This [Palestinian commitment to nonviolence] is overlooked by the general Israeli population because it is not a topic of discussion. Why? Because the majority of the cabinet currently in the current Israeli government has publicly declared they are not ever for a Palestinian state.”

Can you believe this? The Palestinian commitment to nonviolence is not considered by Israelis because there has never been a Palestinian commitment to nonviolence. Is it really possible that Kerry doesn’t understand that when Israelis have Palestinians in Gaza regularly shooting missiles at us (216 in the last 24 months) and when we have our fellow Israelis being run down and stabbed, we realize that there is no Palestinian commitment to nonviolence?

Of course it is not possible.

Kerry goes on to declare that Israel has no leaders who want to make peace and adds:

“You’ve got to have a willingness to make peace. If there is a willingness to make peace —  Olmert,  Barak,  Rabin,  Peres — people indicated how you do it.”

What a sick joke. How did Olmert, Barak, Rabin, and Peres unsuccessfully try to do it? By making concession after concession to the Palestinians in return for nothing except more Palestinian violence and more Israeli dead. Is it really possible that Kerry does understand that the land for peace appeasement idea has not furthered peace in this region one iota?

Of course not.

Then, Kerry resorts to what he always does–a thinly veiled attempt to create more Palestinian violence against Israelis:

“If you don’t have leaders who don’t want to make peace, if the equation doesn’t change, I’ll be amazed if within the next 10 years if we don’t see some young [Palestinian] leader come along who says we have tried non-violence for the last 30 years and look, it hasn’t gotten us anything.”

Is it really possible that Kerry does not understand that by issuing these constant “warnings” to Israelis, he is doing nothing except encouraging the Palestinians to violence?

Of course not.

Finally, is it really possible that Kerry does not understand that the reason that there is no peace between Israel and the Palestinians is because the Palestinians refuse to accept a Jewish state of Israel?

Of course not.

Kerry has always behaved as if he were nothing more than a paid Palestinian propagandist. Your humble servant used to believe that he was merely a naive buffoon, but over the years has come to realize that Kerry knows exactly what he is saying. His is a particularly dangerous evil wrapped in sheep’s clothing.
