Yesterday’s Fake “Massacre” in Gaza

Nauseating Quote of the Day:

“We condemn the appalling, deadly violence in Gaza yesterday during which 58 Palestinians were killed and almost 1,360 demonstrators were injured with live ammunition by Israeli security forces. Of those injured, 155 are in critical condition. Six children and a health worker were among those who lost their lives, and 10 journalists suffered injuries from gunshot wounds . . . An attempt to approach or crossing or damaging the fence do not amount to a threat to life or serious injury and are not sufficient grounds for the use of live ammunition.”

Rupert Colville, Spokesperson for the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights

Aside from fact that almost all of the above numbers are fake (see Today’s Blog below), it is astonishing how Israel is the one country in the world that cannot be allowed to defend its borders.

Colville knows full well that Hamas’ announced purpose for the border violence is “to return to Palestine and eliminate Israel.” Colville knows full well that Hamas has declared that it wishes to kill and or kidnap Israeli soldiers on the border; Colville knows full well that Hamas has built tunnels that cross into Israel and come up under such places as Israeli kindergartens.

Colville knows all of this full well.

He and his cohorts in the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights are pathetically appalling excuses for human beings.

The News on the Israeli Street

Palestinian terrorism in the last 24 hours . . .

The terror on the Gaza Border will be discussed in Today’s Blog.

In Judea and Samaria:

*Palestinian terrorists wounded an IDF soldier near Itamar; he was struck in the face by a “rock.”

*Palestinian terrorists wounded a policeman. He was wounded near Lubban A-Sharqiya.

*Palestinian terrorists attempted to run over an Israeli at Havat Gilad.

*Palestinian terrorists wounded a young girl in the head with “rocks” in Hevron.

*Palestinian terrorists attacked Israeli motorists with Molotovs and “rocks” at the Efrat Junction, Azzun, Migdalim, Qusra, Beit Jalla, on the Tunnels Road, El Aruv, Nebi Elias, Beit Ummar, the Karmei Tzur Junction, Mt. Hevron, Na’ama, and Tekoa among other places.

*Palestinian terrorists attacked security forces in large scale riots at each of the following locations: Shechem, Rachel’s Tomb near Bethlehem, Tulkarm, Al-Bireh, Hevron, Al Fawwar, Bethlehem, Abu Dis, and Ramallah.

*Palestinian terrorists attempted to burn down the Jewish communities of Yitzhar, Psagot, Beit El, and Giv’at Ronen.

The United States defends Israel . . .

The U.S. vetoed this resolution in the U.N. Security Council yesterday:

“The Security Council expresses its outrage and sorrow at the killing of Palestinian civilians exercising their right to peaceful protest . . . The Security Council calls for an independent and transparent investigation into these actions to ensure accountability.”

Peaceful protest? Of course not.

An independent and transparent investigation? Of course not.

Thank you to the United States for preventing this absurdity.

Gazans are angry . . .

At Hamas.  A protest erupted yesterday from families whose relatives have been wounded or killed in the border clashes.

The families are not upset about the deaths of their relatives; they are upset because Hamas has not paid them for their deaths.

As you will recall from our previous reportage, Hamas has promised a one-time payment of $500 for each person killed, and continuing financial support for those “wounded.”

The families accused Hamas of lying about the payments.

Israel’s idiotic efforts to be politically correct . . .

If you can believe this, Defense Minister Lieberman ordered the Kerem Shalom Crossing into Gaza opened this morning in order to facilitate “humanitarian” supplies into Gaza.

This comes after Palestinians destroyed the facilities in the Crossing two days ago–facilities which provided gas to the Gaza power plant, and a means to transfer food and construction materials.

So what happened today? As soon as the Crossing was reopened, Palestinian terrorists in Gaza set it on fire again.

Meanwhile, despite the huge riots throughout Judea and Samaria, Lieberman also approved Ramadan entry quotas into Israel which will permit Palestinians in Areas A and B to visit relatives in Israel and in Gazaand to make “visits” to the Temple Mount in Jerusalem where they will violently demonstrate against Israelis.

Lieberman justified the quotas by saying he halved the numbers from last year, but why, your humble servant asks, should even 1 Palestinian be permitted into Israel for Ramadan?

It didn’t take long . . .

Of course, anything appearing in the Iranian media is supported by the Iranian government.

Of course, anything appearing in the Iranian media is supported by the terrorists in Tehran.

Almost immediately after the U.S. opened its Embassy in Jerusalem yesterday, an Iranian group calling itself “The Student Movement Iranian Advocates of Justice” offered a $100,000 dollar payment to anyone who blows up the Embassy.

TODAY’S BLOG:

Yesterday’s Fake “Massacre” in Gaza

A funny thing happened on the way to final casualty total in Gaza yesterday. The number published by the Gaza Ministry of Health just kept rising and risinglong after the violence had completely stopped– until it finally reached 59 Palestinians supposedly killed, and 2,700 supposedly wounded (note the increase in the number wounded from the time that Colville made his statement above until the end of the evening).

It was that number of “wounded” that first caught your humble servant’s eye. Obviously, it is impossible that exactly 2,700 were wounded. But more than this, a little bell went off in my head as I remembered the fake numbers put out by the Ministry in the last Gaza war in 2014.

You will recall that at that time, the Ministry included in the “death toll” of those killed, anyone who had died. Terrorists who were were killed as well as elderly people who died of various diseases were lumped into the “casualty numbers.”

Clearly that it what is happening again now.

There is no reason to believe any number that comes from the Gaza Health Ministry. It is merely a propaganda arm of Hamas.

So who was killed yesterday?

For starters, Hamas identified ten of its own armed terrorists who were killed while trying to blow up the fence:

10Hamas

Then it was revealed this morning that another 24 were members of other terror organizations in Gaza.

A massacre?

34 terrorists were killed while trying to break through the border fence so that they could kidnap or kill our soldiers.

What happened at the Gaza border yesterday was no massacre.
