The News On The Israeli Street

Palestinian terror in the last 24 hours . . .

On the Gaza border:

The communities along the Gaza border are ablaze again as dozens of explosive balloons are being hourly launched into southern Israel. The largest blaze has been at Netivot.

In Judea and Samaria:

Palestinian terrorists attacked a tourist bus with gunfire near Mevo Dotan. No one on the heavily armored bus was wounded. IDF soldiers in the area returned fire. Two terrorists were captured–one was moderately wounded.

Palestinian terrorists opened fire on an Israeli vehicle near Kochav Ya’akov.

Palestinian terrorists attacked Israelis with “rocks” and Molotovs at Beit Ummar, Al Aruv, Hizma,  in the Abu Sneineh neighborhood of Hevron, Ofra, Ivy Hayahal, Tekoa, the T-Junction in Gush Etzion, between Tapuach and Marda, on Road 60 between Al-Khader and Efrat, and at numerous other places.

All of the above reports about Judea and Samaria come from reports from citizens on the ground as sent in to Rescue Judea and Samaria, hakolhayehudi, and rotter.

A terrorist summary from March . . .

Security authorities reported that 272 Palestinian terror attacks occurred in Judea and Samaria during the month of March. This does not include “rock” and Molotov attacks–which took place on the order of 20-30 per day.

Let us not forget the two Israelis who were murdered at Ariel on March 18:

Lot of herbal online prescription viagra pills is available in the market to help individuals.

Speaking of Palestinian terrorists . . .

If you can believe this, the Netanyahu government held an emergency meeting last night to funnel funds to the PLO.

This was in response to the PLO decision to not accept any of the monthly tax revenues (about $190 million dollars) which Israel collects for the PLO and then turns over to the terror organization. The PLO decided to not accept the usual money because Israel deducted 10 million dollars to offset money that the PLO pays to terrorists and their families.

This morning, the PLO further announced that it is on the verge of abrogating the Oslo agreements–leading Israel to believe that the PLO/Palestinian Authority is on verge of collapse. As pleasant a prospect as that is, there are few in Israel who would like to see Israel once again responsible for the Palestinians living in Areas A and B of Judea and Samaria.

What the PLO really fears is the Trump Peace Plan which according to most accounts does not recognize a Palestinian state with Jerusalem as its capital.

Remember the 1200 Jewish worshipers on the Temple Mount? . . .

Those worshipers made it to the Temple Mount during the Passover holiday.

1200who braved the extraordinary restrictions placed on Jewish worshipers–restrictions that included being allowed on the Mount a scant 20 hours a week.

Well guess what?

Ramadan is now upon us starting next week and those hours are being further reduced. The Israel Police, working in conjunction with the Islamic Wakf, announced that for the entire month of Ramadan which includes Yom Hazikaron (Memorial Day), Yom Atzmaut ( Independence Day), Lag B’Omer and Yom Yerushalayim, Jews will only be allowed on the Mount for about 14 hours a week.

No Jews will be permitted on the Mount in the afternoon on any day.

Absolutely unbelievable.

TODAY’S BLOG:

Which IDF Soldiers Are The Best?

Combat training has just finished this year for all officers fighting in the ground combat units of the IDF.

As always, the combat training was a fierce competition.

The competition consisted of “physical and mental battlefield challenges’ that the IDF may face in the next war and according to the IDF consisted of these components:

“The first is the physical fitness of the combat officer in a difficult terrain, overcoming obstacles that simulate battlefields, including terraces, hard topography and rock.

The second component is the navigating and orientation capabilities of the fighting officer in the field, using aerial photographs that require a high level of orientation and navigation.

The third component is the ability to shoot (shooting) of the combat officers during an effort, which is a central component in the operational capabilities of the combat unit in the IDF.”

By category, here were the winners:

Regular IDF Divisions:

1. Givati Brigade
2. Nahal Brigade
3. Golani Brigade

Special units:

1. Unit 217, frequently called Duvdevan
2. Unit 669, the combat rescue and evacuation unit
3. Unit 212, the Maglan unit

Let’s tip our hats to all of those who participated but particularly to the winners:
