Southern Israel Struck With Missiles All Night Long
UPDATE 3:00 PM Saturday
Missile fire continued into southern Israel until about 6am this morning. All told, the IDF reports that Palestinian terrorists fired 36 missiles and mortars, and 5 were intercepted by the Iron Dome. Residents on the ground report that 49 missiles and mortars exploded around communities in the south.
As usual, the IDF has done nothing to stop the missile fire. Instead it has held meetings in order to assess who was doing the shooting and to figure out reasons that we should not respond.
The result of those meetings is a statement attributed to an anonymous IDF source that the missile attacks were an attempt by Hamas and Islamic Jihad to show support for the riots happening in Jerusalem.
Oh, and the other IDF announcement is that “no one was wounded, and all restrictions have been removed allowing residents of the South to return to their normal routines.”
What unmitigated and sickening nonsense.
“No one was wounded?” The entire South was wounded as was the entire country as once again our residents were forced to run for their lives to bomb shelters as their vaunted IDF could do nothing to stop the missile fire.
Just two days ago, your humble wrote that the riots in Jerusalem are a direct result of the fact that terrorists in Judea and Samaria get away with assaulting Israelis everyday, and terrorists in Gaza routinely get away with firing missiles at our men, women, and children.
The bottom line here is that once again the Palestinian terrorists will get away with it—and once again the Israeli residents of the South have been reminded that they can never have a normal routine.
