The Hilarious Quote of the Day

“He died in battle.”

FM Yair Lapid speaking at the funeral of Ra’am Knesset member Saeed Al-Kharumi who died of a heart attack two days ago. Al-Karumi was renowned for his hatred and demonization of Israel.

It’s not certain what battle Lapid was extolling Al-Kharumi for having died in–but the scuttlebutt on the street is that the 49-year-old multi-wived Bedouin died in the arms of his mistress.

What’s going to happen? . . .

As you may not know, several fuel tanker ships from Iran are about to meet a flotilla of Allied ships off the coast of Beirut. The ships are supposedly coming to ease the severe fuel shortage in Lebanon.

This morning, Hezbollah threatened that if any of the ships are stopped or attacked, all Israeli vessels in the Mediterranean will be attacked.

TODAY’S BLOG:

PM Bennett’s 20 Minute Photo-Op

From the outset, your humble servant wondered why PM Bennett was hell-bent on going to Washington at this moment when the Afghanistan withdrawal is taking place. Obviously, the only thing on President Biden’s mind is the fiasco that he created there.

I wondered this even more so after what happened yesterday when 13 American soldiers were killed and many more wounded. Wouldn’t postponing the meeting until sometime next month be the decent action for Bennett to take–something akin to German Chancellor Angela Merkel postponing her trip to Israel yesterday because of Afghanistan?

But no, the meeting was only delayed until this afternoon; however, the White House now says the meeting will only last 20 minutes.

Just enough time for Bennett to get his photos of

–pulling up to the White House Portico in the black limo

–shaking hands with President Biden at the door aside the Marine guards

–striding purposefully beside the stumbling Biden to the Oval Office along the covered courtyard walkway

–sitting preeningly in a chair beside Biden

–having a 5 minute “conversation” about how Israel expresses condolences over the loss of the American soldier/Israel loves the United States and vice versa/how Israel supports the U.S. and vice versa in the war on terror

–shaking hands again with Biden

–getting up and being escorted out.

The 20 minutes will only end up making the pathetic Bennett look smaller than he already is beside the pathetic Biden.
