The Supreme Court weighs in again on Sheikh Jarrah . . .

Our ever meddlesome Supreme Court has come forward with a “compromise” regarding the evacuation of Arab families in the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood in eastern Jerusalem.

According to the “compromise”, the 5 Arab families who have squatted there for decades will be recognized as protected tenants for 15 years.

During this period, they will pay rent to the “Nahalat Shimon” association that purchased the land, and the association will not use legal means to attempt to force them out.

Some compromise. Let’s see what Nahalat Shimon says about still not being able to obtain their property.

Oh how much the Palestinians love the land! . . .

What Do We Know About The Ron Arad Mission?

His emaciated tortured face still haunts us after all these years.

Ron Arad’s emaciated tortured face still haunts us after all these years. All we know is that after his plane went down over Lebanon in October of 1986, he was captured by the Amal Shi’ite group and later handed over to Hezbollah and then possibly to Iranian Revolutionary Guards.

As you may be aware, PM Bennett dramatically revealed in a speech in the Knesset yesterday that Mossad mounted an operation last month to discover information about long-missing and presumed dead Israeli airman Ron Arad.

Specifically, Bennett said “Last month, Mossad agents–men and women–embarked on a complex, wide-ranging and daring operation to find the remains and whereabouts of Ron Arad. That is all that can be said at the moment. “

This lack of detail left Israeli media to speculate in various headlines–with one media outlet calling the mission “inconclusive” and another a “failure”.

Shortly thereafter, Bennett sought to counter these speculations by having his office issue a statement that the operation was “a success”.

This morning we still have no idea what “success” means.

We are holding our breath and hoping for some good news.
