The News on the Israeli Street
Palestinian terror in the last 24 hours . . .
Palestinian terrorists carried out a “bulldozer” attack on IDF soldiers in the Jordan Valley Palestinian settlement of Uja. One soldier was run over and wounded. The terrorists escaped.
Palestinian terrorists opened fire from a passing car at the IDF guard tower near Yitzhar.

Israeli Border Police operating in the Latrun Area seized 5 buses carrying 375 illegal Palestinians from Areas A and B of Judea and Samaria to Jerusalem.
375 illegal Palestinians is just a drop in the bucket. Thousands of Palestinians walk, drive, or are bused through the porous security fences every hour of every day.
The daily Corona update . . .
1,990 more Israelis were confirmed “yesterday” as having Covid-19. There are now 29,127 active cases in the country.
1,304,356 Israelis have contracted Corona since the pandemic began.
The positive test rate yesterday was 2.01%.
464 Israelis are in serious condition with another 195 in critical condition on ventilators.
7,897 Israelis have died–15 since yesterday.
The number of daily confirmed continues to drop as does the number of active cases. However, the numbers of Israelis who are seriously and critically ill rose slightly as did the number of Israelis who died yesterday.
Vaccinations:
6,178,618 Israelis have received one dose.
5,679,481 Israelis have received two doses.
3,731,796 Israelis have received three doses.
The vaccination rate has slowed somewhat because the mixed messages that Israelis are receiving from the government: first, the government demanded that everyone receive the 3rd dose in order to receive a green passport to enter various facilities; now, it turns out that a green passport may not be required for some of those same facilities.

The Temple Mount Is Theirs:
Israel’s Egregious Surrender Of The Har HaBayit
June 11, 1967: Israeli soldiers celebrate taking the Temple Mount restoring Jewish sovereignty there for the first time in centuries. In the end, their bravery in gaining the Mount was for naught.
Last Friday morning our so-called “Minister of Internal Security”, Omer Bar-Lev turned to an Orwellian use of language to respond to the Magistrate Court’s ruling that one Jewish man can pray silently on the Temple Mount:
“The State of Israel advocates freedom of worship and prayer for all, however, in view of the security implications, the status quo must be observed that the prayer of Jews on the Temple Mount will take place next to the Western Wall and the prayer of Muslims will take place in al-Haram a-Sharif.”
In other words, the State of Israel advocates freedom of worship and prayer for all except Jews.
More than that, the State of Israel has the right to tell Jews where and when they can pray, and part of that is that Jews do not have the right to pray everywhere in sovereign Israel.
Following Bar-Lev’s outrageous statement, the Jerusalem Police supported by our own government went into Jerusalem District Court to overturn the Magistrate Court decision.
Again, it was a case of the Police and government cowering in the face of Muslim threats with the Police and government arguing that “A change in the existing status quo will endanger public peace and could cause a flare-up. At the same time, in view of the security implications, the status quo must be maintained, which stipulates that the prayer of Jews on the Temple Mount will take place next to the Western Wall and the prayer of Muslims will take place in al-Haram a-Sharif, the Temple Mount Compound.”
Is there nothing worth fighting for anymore?

General Moti Gur’s proud declaration in 1967 after his paratroopers fought their way through the Old City–which had been ethnically cleansed by the Jordanians–that “The Har HaBayit (Temple Mount) is ours” has become completely devoid of meaning.
The ensuing 54 years of surrender, of granting one concession after another to the Jordanians and Palestinians on the Mount, has brought us to the pathetic situation that in fact “The Har HaBayit is theirs.”
By the way, as we predicted on Friday morning, the Jerusalem District Court sided late Friday afternoon with our craven Police, our cowardly Government, and the Jordanian Islamic Wakf, and overturned the Magistrate’s Court Decision.
