In an intensely fought match, Israel came up a little short in yesterday’s game in Argentina. Nevertheless, the team united the country for a brief moment, and deserve nothing but accolades for its efforts.

They will now play for 3rd place against South Korea that lost to Italy in the other semifinal.

Kolakevod to a wonderfully inspiring team!

TODAY’S BLOG

Gangland Israel

Israeli-Arab crime has spiraled out of control.

5 Israeli-Arabs were murdered at a car wash in Yafia (beside Nazareth) yesterday– bringing to 97 the number of Israeli-Arabs murdered so far this year.

The five murdered yesterday operated a car wash facility and were all members of the Bakri crime family.

In the last few years, 20 people have been killed in clashes between the Bakri and Khariri families alone.

By day’s end, PM Netanyahu pledged to bring in Shin Bet (aka Shabak) to help stem the violence. Currently, the Shabak is only tasked with dealing with crimes committed by terrorists.

It should be pointed out that organized crime is not a problem confined to Israeli-Arab locales. Virtually every week we see at least one crime family member assassinated by a member of another crime family–normally through car bombs.

It often feels like Israel is the home of a New York-style mafia.

On that note, we wish you dear readers:

SHABBAT SHALOM!
