On the Ground In the South

While intense fighting continues in Khan Younis and soon in Rafah, the IDF has been paving a new highway that goes from Nahal Oz in Israel all the way to the Mediterranean Sea–a road that will effectively cut off northern Gaza from the rest of Gaza. Note the red dots below which are where the road–Road 749–is being built.

From a Givati Commander yesterday:

“Battles in the Gaza Strip continue all the time, and our forces are eliminating hundreds of terrorists, attacking and destroying terrorist infrastructure, weapons and ammunition. At the same time, we are also preparing to enter Rafah, and Prime Minister Netanyahu declared in his speech this evening that whoever tells Israel not to act in Rafah is actually demanding that it lose the war against Hamas.”

*The Washington Post posted a video yesterday taken on October 7th which clearly shows an UNRWA employee loading the dead body of a murdered Israeli at Be’eri into a vehicle.

*Dozens of boxes of medicines which were supposed to have been given to Israeli hostages were found at Nasser Hospital in Khan Younis.

*The terrorist who fired the missiles at south Ashkelon yesterday was identified and killed 30 minutes later.
