The Unsurprising Quote of the Evening

“In the Israeli answer to the outline we presented to the deal, there was not a single part that deserved to be read. Our reaction to the Israeli answer was negative even after two minutes of reading.”

Senior HamISIS official, Mahmoud Mardawi speaking in Qatar indicating the terror organization’s rejection of the latest Israeli  hostage negotiations position.

The Idiotic Quote of Yesterday

“We are committed to achieving peace by establishing an independent Palestinian state and security guarantees to Israel.”

U.S. State Department Spokesman yesterday.

What in the world are the Bidenites thinking about?

The Palestinians have had an independent state in Gaza since 2005 and look at the security Israel received in return.

The Palestinians have had another independent state in Areas A and B of Judea and Samaria since 1994 and look at the security Israel received in return.

There is no such thing as “security guarantees to Israel.”

When are Washington and the world going to wake up and realize that there is no security for Israel with Palestinian states beside us. When are they going to realize that the reason for this is that the Palestinians want to eradicate Israel?

A credible Palestinian pollster in the last few days found that 71% of Palestinians living in Gaza and “the West Bank” believe that the HamISIS decision to attack Israel was correct. A similar percentage said that if elections were held tomorrow between HamISIS head Ismail Haniyeh and PLO Chairman Mahmoud Abbas, they would vote for Haniyeh and HamISIS.

By the way, the Palestinian public also believes that HamISIS should rule Gaza after the war is over and only 5% believe that HamISIS broke international law on October 7th.

And these are the people that we are supposed live in peace with.

Incredible.

The Photo of the Morning

We are now into the 4th day of the raid on Shifa Hospital.

At least 50 terrorists remain holed up inside. Many of these are believed to be senior commanders. As of this morning some 600 terrorists have been captured and 140 killed; this photo of some of the captured was released last night:

240 of the 300 terrorists captured so far at the Shifa Hospital.

The photo apparently inadvertently includes the photo of General Ra’ad Salah (Row 6, second from the left), one of the highest in command of HamISIS. Other generals were also captured but their names are being withheld.

From the IDF Spokesman last night:

This week, the 401st SDF, Shayetet 13 fighters, and Shin Bet coordinators under the command of Division 162 led the special operation at Shifa Hospital.

So far, about 600 terrorists have been arrested and more than 140 terrorists have been killed in an exchange of fire. During the scans in the hospital, many weapons and intelligence documents were found which contribute to the continuation of the fighting.

The Islamic Jihad operatives in the hospital made a decision to surrender, including senior officials who were transferred to the Shin Bet for investigation, such as  Hoasem Salameh – in charge of the observation file in the Gaza Brigade and his brother Wasem Salameh – in charge of Islamic Jihad’s combat information system in Gaza.

Also, among the detainees are three senior officials from the West Bank headquarters of Hamas, who direct terrorist activities: Amr Azida, head of the Shechem Committee responsible for Hamas terrorist activities in the area, Mahmoud Kuasma, one of the planners and financiers of the kidnapping of the three boys in 2014, and Hamdallah Hasan Ali who promoted terrorist activities in the United States in recent years.

Concerning the raid, it is beginning to look like it was an ambush. IDF forces took the hospital months ago, then left it apparently for good making HamISIS think it was a safe place for their terrorists again. Then 4 days ago, the IDF sprung the trap.

Anyway you slice it, the Shifa Raid has been a major IDF success–perhaps our most significant “achievement” of the war so far.

On the Ground in Judea and Samaria

A bullet hole in the window of a mini-van that was hit in the Binyamin area this morning. There is currently a huge manhunt on for the terrorists.
