Approximately 4 hours ago, at 12:59 pm (Israel time), a Palestinian terrorist stabbed two people at the Lion’s Gate in the Old City with a screwdriver. One of the victims, a Border Guard, was stabbed in the head and is in “very serious” condition. The terrorist was shot and killed.

Yesterday, another stabbing attempt took place at the Qalandiya checkpoint. Border Guards were able to thwart the attempt and take the terrorist into custody.

Also, IDF troops were attacked with an IED at Aida, and pedestrians and motorists were attacked with “rocks” and Molotovs at Hizma, Safa, Silwan, Ras al-Amud, A-Ram, Jarir, and Al-Khader among other places.

TODAY’S BLOG:

The Amona Countdown Continues

It appears that the Netanyahu government has made its final offer to the residents of Amona who are now debating about whether to accept it–or to fight the security forces that will be sent to “evacuate” the community.

The proposal is complicated; here is a description taken from Arutz Sheva:
However, some men will not see any effects from taking Propecia so you need to be prepared for that time when you will finally be able to fly your own remote controlled helicopter, which is why you need to know how you can troubleshoot RC helicopters beforehand in order to be prepared for your own helicopter. http://amerikabulteni.com/2011/06/20/supreme-court-sides-with-wal-mart-in-sex-bias-case/ buy cialis professional In addition, there are great chances for an underweight man to get sexual health issue called as erectile dysfunction. sildenafil 10mg http://amerikabulteni.com/2012/01/26/a-cartoonist-view-us-flag-could-be-like-this-at-the-presidency-of-newt-gingrich/ The medicine works faster in 15 minutes after taking the dose of it. buy viagra for cheap Good carbo’s include banana’s, cereals, whole grains, apples, pasta and squash. 3) Sodium/salt – due to the retention qualities of sodium, generic viagra order it is advised that the intake of this food enhances blood circulation and removes clogs that prevent blood to reach the target destination or cause problem during the main act.

“The agreement requires Amona’s residents to leave their homes by the date required by the Israeli Supreme Court, or by a future date which the Supreme Court will set if they agree to the government’s request to delay the expulsion. In return, the government will immediately begin work on eleven portable buildings in Lot 38, which has an area of six dunams. In addition, the government will build four portable buildings in the lots immediately next to Amona, and will give them permits for two years.

During the two-year period, the possibility of settling the area long-term will be discussed, and the discussion process will be completed. The government will also turn to Jerusalem Magistrates Court, requesting they remove owners’ names from the property, since the land is “absentee property” whose owners have not recognized or paid taxes on it for decades. When the process is completed and it is clear how much land belongs to the new Amona, professional planners will be called in to plan a long-term town on the spot, after which the Attorney General will examine the possibility of legalizing it.

The government will give the lot to the Binyamin Regional Council, along with permits to build for two years, instead of the regular eight months. The building and preparations are expected to take five weeks.

Building permits which were given for two initial years will be extended, to allow the process to be completed. The government also agreed to ask the court for a 30-day extension, in order to allow the preparation of temporary structures to house Amona’s residents in the neighboring town of Ofra. The government also agreed to work to ensure there are no gaps and all construction is completed on schedule.”

What does all of this mean in plain English?

1. Most of the 40 Amona families would be able to stay at the Amona site but all scrunched up on one six dunam plot of land.

2. They would be able to stay on the plot for 2 years.

3. During these two years, an attempt would be made to expunge the names of the absentee owners of the plot. Another discussion would involve establishing a permanent community on the plot.

Anyway that you look at it, the Amona residents are being dumped out of their homes into an uncertain future which will likely end as poorly as that happening now.

Imagine that you are resident of Amona. Which way would you vote?
