The News on the Israeli Street

Palestinian terror in the last 24 hours . . .

It was another horrific day in Judea, Samaria, the Jordan Valley, and Binyamin with Palestinian terrorists carrying out shooting, Molotov, IED, and “rock” attacks. At least ten Israelis were wounded. The most serious attack was at Ofra; it is the subject of today’s blog below.

Other attacks occurred at such places as Ma’ale Ephraim, near Askar, at Azzun, Luban a-Sharqiya, Qadum, on the Gush Etzion Road near Hevron, Tekoa, Beit Haggai, the south Hevron Hills, the Hala Checkpoint in Gush Etzion, between Hizma and Adam, between Ofarim and Nili, near the Tapuach Junction, at Hawara, and on Road 443.

The Netanyahu farce continues . . .

Two days ago we reported how the police accused Sarah Netanyahu of purchasing equipment for her father in 2014 only to find out that he died in 2011.

Yesterday, the State Comptroller announced that he is examining “criminal aspects” of a furniture purchase that the Netanyahus allegedly made before President Trump came this past year.

According to the Comptroller, a table and chairs which had been sent for renovation and had not been returned, and the Netanyahus purchased replacement furniture for Trump’s use.

Are you reading this, dear reader?

A table and chairs. For the use of the President of the United States.

And for this a criminal investigation of the Netanyahus is taking place?

The French strike again . . .

The French Foreign Ministry in conjunction with French Human Rights Advisory Council have chosen two of the most abominable entities working in Israel to receive their annual human rights prize.

The two recipients are B’Tselem and Al-Haq.

B’Tselem and Al-Haq do support “human rights” in Israel, Judea, and Samariaanyone’s human rights who is not Jewish or Israeli.

As we have often written, they are two of the most despicable organizations on the planet–so they should feel right at home receiving an award from France which is doing all it can to subvert Israeli law to change facts on the ground in Judea and Samaria.

What a rain it was . . .

According to the Israel meteorological service, the rain here last weekend was the heaviest in the last 26 years.

The most rain recorded was at Bilu near Rehovot where 277 milliliters (almost 11 inches) of rain swamped the area over a three day period.

A follow-up to yesterday’s blog . . .

It turns out that Israeli-Arab Ahmed Salameh, who was murdered by PLO gunmen outside his home in Jaljuliya on Friday because of allegedly selling land to Jews was not the first in his family to meet that fate.

His father was murdered years ago, ostensibly for the same reason.

Where is the world’s outrage about Salameh’s murder and the continued imprisonment and torture of Issam Akel?

Nowhere to be seen or heard.

Shira Yael And Her Baby Need Your Prayers:

The Shooting Attack At Ofra Last Night

It was over in less than ten seconds.

A car pulled up along side a hitchhiking spot at the Ofra Junction last night at 9:25 pm. One or more Palestinian terrorists inside the car pulled out their automatic weapons and fired.

Seven people were wounded.

Most seriously wounded was a 21-year-old, pregnant woman from Elon Moreh who was shot in the stomach. Her husband was shot several times in the lower body, and is listed in “moderate” condition this morning.

The other five, including two 16-year-old girls, are currently hospitalized in “moderate” to “light” condition.

The terrorists escaped.

This morning, doctors as Sha’are Zedek Hospital in Jerusalem delivered the woman’s baby by Cesarean section. Unfortunately, the baby, a boy, is not doing well, and the mother remains in serious condition and needs your prayers. Her name for the prayer is Shira Yael, daughter of Liora Sarah.

A video of the shooting attack in Ofra last night.

Again, your humble servant asks where is the outrage? How is it that Israelis are attacked day in and day out and no mainstream media reports it? How is it that Palestinians shoot and attack Israelis and virtually no international government utters a word. How is it that Israelis are wounded and killed all the time and “human rights” organizations are silent?

Remember to pray for Shira Yael and her baby before you do anything else today.
