Quote of the Day

Itamar Ben Gvir.

Itamar Ben Gvir.

“It is time to stop the hotel for terrorists in prison. I initiated a bill that prisons will not provide mean and fish to terrorists; in addition, a terrorist will receive one visit a year from his family. Those who acted against Israel do not deserve easy conditions. Let’s see now if the Knesset members from the Coalition will vote for the bill or run away.”

Knesset Legislator Itamar Ben Gvir, speaking to the media yesterday

Ben Gvir is under no illusions.

He knows that the Coalition government which is essentially led by the Islamist Ra’am Party will never vote for making our prisons more like prisons. Ra’am looks at the PLO, Hamas, and Islamic Jihad prisoners as heroes and never ceases saying so.

And he knows that the Israel Supreme Court would never sanction tighter restrictions on prisoners. After all, according to the Court, it would not be humanitarian.

In Judea and Samaria:

Too many “riots” to count continue breaking out in Areas A and B in support of the escaped prisoners: soldiers have been wounded, but there is no official count from the IDF.

TODAY’S BLOG:

Just One Horrific Photo Tells You Why

A Jew burned in effigy last night

A Jew burned in effigy last night in the Palestinian settlement of Beta. Note the peyot (side hair) on the “victim.” What do you think would happen if these Palestinians “caught” an actual Jew?

Self-described “liberal humanitarians” often say to your humble servant: “All people are the same, they just want peace: why can’t Israel make peace with the Palestinians?”

Or a variation: “Don’t you think it is time for peace between the Palestinians and Israelis–aren’t you tired of fighting?”

The above photo taken last night is like some scene from a horror movie or a documentary about how the Nazis and their cohorts murdered Jews. It unequivocally answers the above questions.

We can’t make peace with the Palestinians because they want to murder us.

And when I say “us”, I am not merely talking about “Israelis”, I am talking about Jews.  It is the reason that Palestinians very rarely use the word “Israeli”; instead, their hatred is always directed toward “the Jews.”

It is a deep-seated hatred that comes from a violently anti-Jewish culture that takes its cues from the Koran and from imams who preach its verses.

In Beta, as in other Palestinian settlements, we have seen a recent explosion of Nazi symbolism:

“Don’t you think it is time for peace between the Palestinians and Israelis–aren’t you tired of fighting?”

Yes we are tired of fighting, but it is a fight for our very existence.

We have given and given and given and given to the PLO in Ramallah and Hamas in Gaza, but it has not changed the mindset of Palestinians one iota.

Theirs is a murderous ideology that will never entertain the thought of peace.

All people are not the same.

Shabbat Shalom From Israel!
