A consortium of Israeli charities have asked US Ambassador to Israel, Tom Nides, to not deny Russian-Israeli oligarch Roman Abramovich (who lives in London and owns the Chelsea soccer team) access to Swift because of his many philanthropic activities in Israel.

A report this evening describes that if Russia is denied Swift, many Russian pensioners in Israel will lose access to their pensions.

[OneIsrael fully supports denial of Swift to Putin and the Russians].
